T.I. Names Top 5 Atlanta Rap Albums

Although, he has made headlines for his beef with Charleston White this week.Β  There is another spotlight on T.I., this time in reference to the music.Β  The Atlanta legend named his top five Atlanta Hip Hop albums.Β  He was on the show, Fresh Pair, where he discussed this topic with hosts Katty Customs and Just Blaze.Β  The self-proclaimed β€œKing of the South” named OutKast, Goodie Mob, Young Thug, Future, and 21 Savage to have the top five Atlanta albums.

Tip’s Top 5

To our surprise, TIP did not name any of his albums in his list.Β  Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik by OutKast, Soul Food by Goodie Mob, Slime Season by Young Thug, Dirty Sprite by Future, and I am > I was by 21 Savage all are near and dear to the 42-year-old rapper’s heart.Β  We all know T.I. is no slouch himself.Β  He has released 11 studio albums; in which 3 straight years he had the #1 album on the Billboard 200 chart.Β  This includes King in 2006, T.I. vs. T.I.P in 2007, and Paper Trail in 2008.Β  The Grammy winning rapper has also racked up four #1 singles on the Billboard 100 chart.Β  This includes β€˜Whatever You Like’, β€˜My Love’, β€˜Blurred Lines’, and β€˜Live Your Life’.Β  He definitely has the right to include one of his projects in this discussion.Β  I get it, I guess he is just being humble.

Fresh Pair

Fresh Pair is a new show by UpRoxx where sneakerhead Katty Customs and legendary producer Just Blaze talk with some of the biggest stars in hip hop.Β  They discuss music, culture, sneakers, and fashion.Β  Recently, The Game was on an episode and the hosts asked him to name his top five Los Angeles rap albums.Β  The Compton rapper named The Chronic, Doggystyle, The Documentary, good kid, m.A.A.d city, and Death Certificate on his list.Β  Of course, The Game included himself and I don’t blame him.

“Lord Knows Pt. 2” By Drake? Just Blaze Says So

Just Blaze asked Drake just one question about “Lord Knows” on Instagram. However, it made a ton of noise and ended up on the Hip-Hop news websites.

Understandably so, since Drake’s fans now get a chance to relive some memories. “Lord Knows,” a track from the 2011 Grammy-nominated “Take Care” album, might have a new part coming out.

The song’s producer, Just Blaze, posted on IG. “Wow, @champagnepapi went back!” the producer captioned in the story. “Sooo..Can we put out ‘Lord Knows Pt. 2’ now? Sponsored by the good folks at @lrgclothing.”

Neither Drake nor featuring Rick Ross have yet commented on the possibility of “Lord Knows Pt.2.” However, the song’s producer dropping IG stories like that still certainly means something.

The “Lord Knows” Album

“Take Care” is Drake’s album which made him famous worldwide, making people sing his lyrics in all clubs from LA to Eastern Europe. Some of the artist’s most famous songs, like “Headlines” or “The Motto,” also appeared on the record.

It makes total sense why Drake got a grammy for “Take Care.” The artist didn’t just bring the fresh half-Rap-half-R’n’B sound in Hip-Hop. He also showed how a Hip-Hop artist can be sensitive without, let’s say, Ye’s eccentricity. Songs about romantic love, as well as warm feelings towards your “broskis,” took a central place in Drake’s art.

War & Peace

Speaking of Drake and Ye, the two veterans of North American Hip-Hop came to piece not that long ago. The conflict, which launched in 2007, lasted for more than a decade. Multiple disses got released, even Pusha T participated.

However, the two industry giants are now friends. This is also Larry Hoover’s accomplishment; Drake only agreed to be friends with Ye again if they can both perform at the “Free Larry Hoover” event.

It’s unclear whether now the two are friends or not. We will keep you posted and report on any updates in the artists’ relationship.

Hit-Boy Assembles the Rap Dream Team

Fans of rap know a powerhouse when they hear it. Whether it is a legendary rappers first bars, or the first bars of an album that would go on to top charts for over a decade to come. We know what’s good, and we know what’s good together.

Certain rappers just make magic when they pool their minds together. Their fans love to speculate on these pairings, and it turns out the rappers do as well. Hit-Boy sparked Twitter’s imagination when he responded to a fun tweet about assembling a producer team.

Hit-Boy’s Dream Team

The producer is legendary by himself, but it was fascinating to see what talent he would choose to be on his Dream Team.

“me ye just blaze and alchemist. Fr fr I can cover any style of the 808 shit y’all want from polo G juicewrld to Travis scott. have just blaze pull up wit a few soulful vibes then have alchemist slide wit the dark soul. Ye can oversee it and add where he pleases. Classic fr. (Hit-Boy)”

Hit-Boy has already worked with these artists before, and many more included on the list. Every time has been gold. Getting all four artists in a room together would be something magical, and it may be closer than we think. Hit-Boy and The Alchemist are already collaborating onΒ Half Moon Bay.

There are rumors going about that while creating this song, Ye was in the studio as well. Somebody ask if they snuck Blaze in there. This is likely going to be the closest we’re going to get to the Dream Team, at least for now.

Fan Reactions

Fans jumped on the opportunity to share their opinions. None of them could agree with each other, but all were excited.

What do you think? Let us know your Dream Team, and if Hit-Boy is on it!
