Damson Idris Talks Jay-Z Support and Getting His Green Card

Damson Idris served some hot tea in his latest interview with Complex, as their March 2023 digital cover star.

The most interesting serving being how billionaire Jay-Z helped Idris work in America.

We may have to thank Mr. Carter for allowing us to see Franklin on our TV screens.

The Rumor Was Actually True…

The interviewer, Speedy, asked the British actor if the rumor was true that the New York rapper helped him get his green card.

At first, the London native was caught off guard that the Queens native knew about that. Even questioning if he mentioned the green card situation to Speedy prior (that’s good journalism people and props to Speedy).

Imagine Having Jay-Z As A Reference?

Idris disclosed the rap mogul was used as a reference for an important document that gives permanent residency in the United States.

He laughed when asked if Jay offered up sponsorship. Then responded saying, “Hov didn’t offer that up. I had to ask him.”

The Rap Mogul “Definitely A Pioneer Of The Culture”

The Snowfall actor went on to shower Shawn Carter with praise for the many things he’s done for Damson Idris over the years.

In addition, the 31-year-old mentioned the billionaire always supports him.

“He supports everyone. He supports so many people that you don’t even know,” Idris told journalist Speedy.

The Swarm actor made sure he told everyone that if you run into the rap mogul say thank you.

Idris noted Shawn Carter is ‘definitely a pioneer of the culture.”

Damson Idris considers Jay-Z to be a “big brother,” but never told him how much of an idol he is.

Lori Harvey’s romantic interest concludes with a simple thank you to Hov for helping him.

Jay And Meek Help 21 Savage When He Was Detained

One of the biggest gestures from Jay-Z being him and Meek Mill helping 21 Savage.

21 was massively grateful and allegedly aware that Jay wouldn’t just help anybody.

The U.K. rapper called Meek while he was detained, who then called Carter.

Furthermore, Bey’s husband reportedly put a lawyer on 21 Savage’s case.

The mogul has his hands in a lot of pots, but it is nice to know he is still looking out for people.

Radio Host Lore’l Did Not Call Michael B. Jordan “Corny,” New Audio Reveals

New surfaced podcast audio from 2021 proves the co-host on “The Morning Hustle Show” and interviewer, Lore’l, did not call Michael B. Jordan “corny.”

It Actually Wasn’t Lore’l

However, her co-host did take a jab at the on-screen boxer and main star of upcoming film Creed III. A movie he not only starred in, but also directed.

Jordan Playfully Teases Lore’l

Jordan took a moment to troll Lore’l on the red carpet at the movie’s premiere. He playfully gave her what he thought was a taste of her own medicine.

The director stopped and took a moment to speak to the Atlanta host. Lore’l congratulated him on Creed III and revealed the two were classmates in Newark, New Jersey.

“We go way back, all the way back to Chad Science [Academy] in Newark,” she said.

“Oh yeah, I was the corny kid, right?” The New Jersey native responded, referring to what he thought Lore’l had said on her podcast.

But the “corny” comment really came from Dominique Da Diva, Lore’l’s co-host.

The encounter went viral on February 26.

The podcast audio from 2021 reveals Lore’l’s co-host’s comments on the actor deep-down being a “nice, corny guy.” She says she does not mean that as a slight, and believes that “nice, corny guys treat you the best.”

Lore’l then chimed in and mentioned that she went to high school with Micheal in Newark.

In addition, the host admitted that kids would tease him for bringing headshots to school and because of his name” Michael Jordan.”

You hear in the audio, “… and he was no Michael Jordan.”

But there’s more… From Dominique

Dominique had more to say on her Instagram story…

“They mad at Lore’l when it was me who called him corny,” she said on Instagram.

“Any black man that dates white women is corny to me. I guess that PR relationship with Lori helped y’all forget but I didn’t,” Dominique added.

The co-host also said, “I literally said corny guys treat you the best. So y’all weird for being mad.”

Meek Mill Removes Lori Harvey from Wish List, Again.

Again, there has been quite a bit of buzz surrounding Meek Mill and his removal of Lori Harvey from his wish list.

Three years ago, Meek Mill came out with “Going Bad,” where Lori Harvey was an object of his affection. We know this because Lori Harvey had a direct mention by name.
The Lyrics flow as follows.

“I got Lori Harvey on my wish list (That’s Lori)
That’s the only thing I want for Christmas (True story, uh)

But a few days ago, in Meek Mill’s performance of “Going Bad” at the Hot 97s Annual Summer Jam, the lyrics were once again altered from the original. In his verse, he made sure it was clear he no longer desired Lori Harvey. He had removed her from his wish list.

Meek’s removal of Harvey Lyric is not new news.

Mill had removed the lyric with Harvey’s mention at a club performance before this occasion. And according to a Meek Instagram post, he revealed his rationale. Meek revealed he pulled the lyrics out of respect for Trey Songz, whom she was dating at the time.

“That’s my dawg. I take her [Harvey] off sometimes, Trey, my guy. I can’t just be reckless ya know she’s fire!” Meek tweeted out.

Lori Harvey isn’t’ Bothered.

The attention isn’t phasing Lori Harvey one way or the other. In fact, she has yet to respond to the addition or removal of her name from Meek’s wish list. Moreover, Lori Harvey hasn’t reacted to how she feels about any rapper using her as a muse for their lyrics. However, Lori’s relationship with movie star Michael B. Jordan is no secret. The press has been covering snippets of their blossoming relationship since 2020. And Harvey has been sharing a few juicy tidbits herself. According to Glamour, she shared a snippet of a hot make-out video between her and Jordan last month.

It appears that Harvey is just a target for hip-hop artist musings. Because Future also had some lyrics set aside just for her. In 42 Dugg’s “Maybach,” Future constantly repeats the lyric, “Tell Steve Harvey I don’t want her.” But, just as now, Lori Harvey hasn’t appeared particularly moved. Since Meek has already explained himself once, is another explanation needed?
