Freddie Gibbs is no stranger to beefs. The man leads with his horns and has no qualms about his hot takes. To Gibbs, it seems that enemies are just as important to as friends. In fact, beefs seem to be so important to Gibbs that a beef with rapper Jim Jones got physical in, of all places, a steakhouse.
Jim Jones: Uninvited
Dining out at Miami’s Prime 112, Gibbs and his crew were…joined by Jones and his own crew. Harsh words flew between the two groups before someone threw a punch. It’s unclear who started the brawl. VladTV, the first to report the fight, claims that Gibbs and company took the worst of the brawl. They also report that Gibbs took a beating from Jones, though give no details on it. VladTV also claims that one of Gibbs’s bodyguards was knocked to the floor and kicked in the head.
However, it seems like Gibbs walked it off just fine. In a video posted to Twitter, Gibbs is all smiles. The 39-year old rapper is seen walking around what appears to be an office building, or possibly a hospital. “It’s me,” Gibbs happily says to the camera. “It’s the rabbit!”

The bad blood between The Rabbit and Jones goes back to 2014. Back then, Gibbs made a comment about Jones being a poser-gangster. A week later, Gibbs and his entourage were fired upon by a gunman following a show in Brooklyn, NY. Gibbs escaped injury, but members of his entourage received non-life threatening wounds. Speaking to the New York Post, Gibbs denied Jones was involved, saying: “Nah, I doubt it. He too p***y.”
There has still been no word from Jones following yesterday’s brawl.
Words from the DJ
Also smiling today is Akademiks. The YouTube gossip king of the hip-hop world, the DJ and Gibbs have a torrid history. Usually, one will run their mouth and the other will respond in kind. This time, Akademiks is reveling in his rival’s pain.
Freddie Gibbs definitely tellin his police officer dad and District Attorney brother on Jim Jones.

Most recently, Gibbs claimed he was training to fight Akademiks on an ESPN charity boxing match. “DJ Akademiks, I’m a solid 185 (lbs.),” Freddie Gibbs said on Jalen and Jacoby. “DJ Akademiks a soft 204 (lbs.), so I think that we could make that fight happen.”
