Rémy Martin Teams Up With Legendary DJs In Celebration Of 50 Years Of Hip-hop

Rémy Martin recently did it up big, celebrating two milestones simultaneously: launching Rémy Martin VSOP Mixtape Volume 3 Limited Edition and 50 glorious years of Hip-hop. And the festivities were lit.

The Location & The Guest List

The celebration went down at the Universal Museum of Hip-Hop, a finely constructed structure in the Bronx, the birthplace of Hip-hop. And the attendance was popping. Some of the best DJs and partners with Rémy Martin on the exclusive product release came to show their support. The celebratory roster included the likes of DJ Spinderella, Dj Marley Marl, DJ Yella, Kool DJ Red Alert, DJ Cocoa Chanelle, DJ Jay Illa, and DJ Jelly.

It was an evening of hip-hop at its finest. Those assembled enjoyed first-class entertainment. Attendees took in the Mixtape Street Art Exhibit, a tributary display spotlighting iconic DJs. The legendary break-dancing crew Hip-Hop Dance Junkies treated them to a performance. And the guests were vibing to DJ’s Quick Silva and DJ Suss One while sipping on specialty cocktails.

A Rémy Martin Tribute

Rémy Martin set out to celebrate Hip-hop and its legends with the release of a specially designed bottle. As Remy notes,

“Like Rémy Martin VSOP, mixtapes blend history and ambition. Both are made with the best talent and samples and create the best drops.”

And so, through creative genius, Rémy Martin delivered a product design,

“Bridging the past, present, and future. Its. Its joyful nostalgia is a tribute to the excellence of mixtape culture & Rémy Martin’s timeless vibrancy.”

The release showed the perfect mix of exquisite taste, custom design [handi-work of Kool DJ Red Alert], and hip-hop flavor.

And, as an extra aside, Rémy Martin agreed to use the proceeds from the bottle sales to pour back into the culture. They pledged to do so by donating proceeds from purchases to DJs who played a significant role in Hip-hop history. According to Contrast, it was the brand’s way of helping preserve the rich history of mixtape culture and celebrate the achievements of DJs who have left their mark on the music.

It’s refreshing to see the outpouring of love for hip-hop. Hip-hop has been a force in the world for half a century and continues to bear a powerful influence. Little was it known that a small party in the Bronx in 1973 could culminate in such a massive explosion of culture and talent. It proves that some of the most amazing things only take one little spark and people who will carry the flame. Here’s to 50+ more years of Hip hop.

Remy Ma Turns Herself In But Has Solid Alibi In Assault Charge

Salutations Cherry Juice Sippers and FM Hip Hop Heads!  Last you heard, Love and Hip Hop New York star Brittney Taylor was allegedly punched in the eye by Bronx veteran rapper and co-star Remy Ma at a charity concert at Irving Plaza!  Not only did Taylor posted all over social media about the alleged incident, but she filed a police report and made sure she was lawyered up for the occasion.  The alleged altercation involved Remy Ma‘s step daughter, up and coming rapper Chanel, as well.  However, we have not heard from Remy Ma regarding the alleged incident, which left us wondering “what really happened?”
