Rick Ross Drops “Little Havanna” Featuring Willie Falcon

Rick Ross is hyping up his upcoming album, Richer Than I’ve Ever Been. He released his newest single, “Little Havana”, which is interesting for who is featured on it. It features The-Dream and, more importantly, Willie Falcon. The song is also going to be on the album.

Who Is Willie Falcon?

The-Dream is part of the music industry. Still, it is nice to have his musical genius featured in a song. What is surprising, however, is Willie Falcon. Falcon was one of the biggest cocaine traffickers from the ’70s to the ’90s. He had illegally smuggled over 75 tons of cocaine in the United States with his partner. There is a docuseries about him called “Cocaine Cowboys: The Kings of Miami”.

Falcon explains all of this in the introduction of the song. He also thanks Rick Ross for keeping his name alive in Ross’s music. The rest of the song seems to ignore this introduction altogether. Instead, it has Ross reflecting on his success, life, and career.

The reason for it points to this song possibly being the first song on the tracklist.  it introduces the themes of getting rich off of doing horrible things in the past to get rich, and keeping one’s code of honor, which is like money all on its own. Ross’ single, “Outlawz,” makes connection to this new release. That song is about friendship and forgiveness in a life of crime and hip hop. However, this connection is through the theme of friendship as a form of commodity that needs to be safeguarded.

Rick Ross Reveals Release Date and Cover Art for New Album

Rick Ross has revealed that his new album, “Richer Than I’ve Ever Been”, is going on sale on December 10. This will be yet another installment to his already esteemed Maybach Music Group record label.  The “King of Wingstop” is definitely channeling a “rich” persona on this cover art.

This is going to be Ross’s 11th studio album. He was originally planning on releasing it at the beginning of the year, but he delayed it. He did so to perfect the album. Although he has kept fans satisfied by generously previewing snippets of unreleased album cuts, Ross has kept details relatively close to his chest.

Ross is extremely proud of this album and thinks that it is his best one yet. Back in September, he had said this in “The Bakari Sellers” podcast. “Really I feel this is the best album. I make progress every day. The words I use, the positions I’m in, the things I’m able to say. Some of the stuff I’m saying on the album gon’ separate this album from others. A lot of people are going to say Rozay shouldn’t have did thaaaat. I think I should. Why not? That’s what the game needs. I’m only going to bring what the game needs.”

Giving the game what it needs

“The game needed a boss like myself,” he continues. “Somebody to give us the perspective of the back of the classroom. The game needed somebody with that ambition and drive after accumulating that much success, wealth. Still collaborating with young, unsigned artists. Still bringing youngsters into the promised land.” He has also said that the album will give “that uncut Rozay” and a 2006-2007 feel, in a different interview.

The highly anticipated, Richer Than I Ever Been, album will be available Dec. 10.
