Fetty Luciano Charged With Attempted Murder

Rowdy Rebel’s brother, Fetty Luciano, has found himself in trouble with the law. Sources say that on July 10th, Luciano shot three people, including a security guard, at a private pool party set at a lavish hotel in Long Island. He’s now paying the price for his alleged actions. Luciano can either pay $200K in cash or obtain a $400K bond for his bail.

The Big Fendi Celebrity Pool Party has over 200 attendees, with two of them getting into an altercation. Once the security guard attempted to break up this fight, shots were fired toward the lobby. The guilt from his decisions led him to the Glen Cove Police station. Not only is Fetty facing an attempted murder charge, but he’s also being reprimanded for reckless endangerment and weapons charges. The attempted murder charge could land Fetty in jail for 25 years. Luckily, the victims have harmless injuries.

Glen Cove’s mayor Pamela Panzenbeck spoke with ABC 7 NY about the matter:

“A private party that was advertised on social media, it has happened before. We’ve had noise complaints but never anything like this. No permit was issued for this party because we had a complaint about a party last week. So, there will be no permits for parties like this.”

Bobby Shmurda’s GS9 affiliate, Fetty Luciano, dropped a project titled Story to Tell in 2018. Story To Tell holds collaborations from Gunna, Landsptrip Chip, and Bobby himself. He also has a verse on Pop Smoke’s “Double It.”

Fetty started rapping during a prison sentencing. His father and brother, Rowdy Rebel, encouraged him to pursue rapping after hearing a few of his rhymes on the phone. Since then, he’s been honing his craft and wearing the G9 status with pride.

He told Billboard, “The next step is keeping the name alive before Bobby and Rowdy even touch the streets.” he continues, “We don’t want them to come home, and they come home to what we were doing a few years back. So we want to keep that name alive.”

Polo G, Fivio Foreign, Rowdy Rebel make appearances on “From The Can”. These artists add to the list of singles previously released by the Flatbush-born rapper. We will see how it holds up next to his other projects.

Sheff G Pleaded Guilty

In 2021, he pleaded guilty to a criminal possession of a weapon and traffic violations. He received a sentence of two years for the crime that same year. Eight months later Sheff G releases “From The Can.”

This is not Sheff G’s first run in with police. In 2020, he led Nassau County on a high-speed chase. The chase ended when Sheff swiped the car of a woman and then slid into a tree. The woman whose car was hit sued him for damages.

Bobby Shmurda Invites Social Media Dancers To Music Video Shoot

Bobby Shmurda teased a new music video & single on the way with a behind-the-scenes view of the video shoot. In a clip circulating online, we see the 27-year-old Brooklyn rap icon with viral dancers. Such include Famous AmosGroovin Gorilla, and Mufasa

Bobby & his team are rebranding to increase his overall appeal. Additionally, marketing Bobby’s music as fun & dance-friendly is a clever way to avoid any potential legal issues.

News of this music video is coming out after both Bobby Shmurda & his longtime friend Rowdy Rebel dealt with record label issues.

Take a look at the short energizing snippet below:

Label Issues Plaguing Bobby Shmurda’s Career

There’s been tons of news about Bobby Shmurda’s ongoing conflict with his label Epic Records.

Weeks ago, Shmurda & Rowdy Rebel accused the record company of never paying them for any music since signing. Bobby has even openly expressed his mistrust & dislike of Epic Records on social media.

In a deleted Instagram post, he proclaimed, “You name one person in the industry a label keeps signed in jail for six years????? Yeah, ik ik I made them more millions than they ever gave me!!! Just let me gooo.”

Clearly, things must’ve got smoothened since there’s new music planning to arrive for our ears. Take a look at Bobby expressing more of his frustration below:

Success Of His Recent & Future Post-Prison Singles

So far, Bobby’s dropped 4 official return singles since being released from incarceration. All of the songs, such as “Shmoney,” “No Time For Sleep,” “Cartier Lens,” & “Splash,” also sit on Youtube. Each has over a million views across the platform.

The music videos for both “Shmoney” & “No Time For Sleep” went above and beyond. Each earned the rapper over 10 million views on each video. It’s good to see Bobby do well for himself. Hopefully, it will also get him back on the same level of popularity.

How soon do you think Bobby will take over the entire globe again?

Meek Mill To Rowdy Rebel On Label Money Woes: “Drop Mixtapes!”

Record labels can be notoriously difficult to do business with. Whether it’s a change in the contract, disagreements over royalties, or simply a bad match, arrangements can turn into minefields quickly. Take a look at Rowdy Rebel. He’s in the middle of one as we speak. And surprise, surprise- it comes down to money.

Last Thursday (December 16), the Brooklyn rapper called out the hand that feeds. Rebel gave Epic Records a few choice words in an Instagram post and no uncertain terms.

“I’m not dropping no more music until @epicrecords pay me. I haven’t received not one check For (sic) all the music I put out since 2014. I been patient but enough is enough.”

Not many of us can disagree that seven years without a paycheck is a bit inconvenient. Moreover, since being released from prison, Rebel has put in some serious time in the studio. A few weeks back, he and British rapper Giggs released their joint single, “Differences.” Last week, Rebel worked with rappers Doe Boy and 42 Dugg on the single “Ain’t My Fault.” Still, his record label woes remain. Not to worry, though. Meek Mill has advice for him.

Meek Mill on Making Mixtapes

Calling out a major label like Epic is big news, and news travels fast. The very same day that Rebel spilled the tea on Epic, Mill came up with a great idea. Indeed, it’s elementary: make some mixtapes.

There is a good point here. Record labels have a nigh impossible time controlling when artists release mixtapes. To be sure, the artist can drop it whenever they please. Even better, the mixtape money comes through streams, merchandise, and touring- all things the record company might not be able to touch.

Mill should know what works, considering his own label issues. In short, Mill declared “war” on Dream Chasers Records, a joint venture of Jay-Z’s Roc Nation. And surprise, surprise (again), it came down to not getting paid. That war, at the time of writing, is still ongoing.

Rowdy Rebel Says Epic Records Hasn’t Paid Him Since 2014

Brooklyn, NY rapper Rowdy Rebel said he has not been paid by his label Epic Records since 2014. In a deleted Instagram response, Rowdy threatened to stop releasing music until he gets paid what’s owed, stating “I’m not dropping no more music until @epicrecords pay me.”

Rowdy signed his deal with Epic around the same time as his friends & label mate Bobby Shmurda. The GS9 duo was sentenced to federal prison for the rest of the 2010s decade alongside their GS9 group.

Rowdy & Bobby’s Struggle With Epic Records

Rowdy & Bobby took the industry by storm with several hot singles bubbling out of New York during their 2014 run. Since those releases, both artists openly shared how their label did very little to support them through their legal troubles. During his sentence, Epic Records dropped Rowdy from their roster but has resigned him since his release. While Rowdy Rebel has not been paid, Bobby is having issues with the creative control of his music. In a deleted Instagram post earlier this month he expressed, “I ain’t been in charge of my music since I was 19 years old and I just turned 27 and honestly idk when sh*t dropping so don’t ask me sh*t go ask them mf’s since they wanna control everything!!!!!!!”

Final Thoughts On Rowdy Rebel vs. Epic

We don’t have access to Rowdy Rebel’s newly signed agreement with Epic Records, but there’s no excuse for withholding what’s owed. Both Rowdy & Bobby have provided so much for the label since they originally signed in 2014. Hopefully, he can continue releasing singles or an album while these issues are getting sorted out. #FMSpotlight: Giggs – “Differences (feat. Rowdy Rebel)” (Listen)

Giggs has teamed up with Rowdy Rebel for “Differences.” Both rappers set the aura as they glide between ruthless bars and cut-throat deliveries. Given the lyrical context, the duo sends a line of warning bars toward haters. They also list what separates them from other individuals. For their hard work and talents have earned them several accolades. The instrumental takes on a dark form of trap and is led by a piano.

“Differences” is a part of Gigg’s A/B-side release, including “Innocent.” Both music videos take place in New York.

The first person to rap on “Differences” is Rowdy Rebel. In his verse, he speaks about his lavish lifestyle since becoming a big-time artist. His success comes from turning “nothin’ to somethin’ ’cause somethin’ is better than motherfuckin’ nothin’.” Also, he details what’ll happen to those who disrespect him. No matter the situation, just know he’s always protected.

Rowdy Rebel raps,

Cause the streets feel a way then we up (Then we up)/We turn that bird to a duck (To a duck)/If he don’t get caught then he lucky, my shooters is ready to up for this month (Grrah)/Ain’t shit you can tell me, my shooters will film me in public, this shit’ll get ugly.”

Next, Giggs delves into his bag of rhymes. During his time on “Differences,” he also speaks about having hittas. Subsequently, he calls out the hater who flosses way too much.

In one excerpt, Giggs raps, “He’s in the States, he’s with the guys/But, he’s not a citizen (Haha)/We drop the work, we get to litterin’.”

Then, the rapper drops metaphorical bars to further explain his protective nature. Giggs assures that he will finish a problem if someone starts one. Finally, he ends the verse by detailing his come-up.

Ain’t come from no hustle/I got the MAC, plus a couple of apples (Apples)/I’m all for the cabbage, I come from the tackle,” he raps.

Rowdy Rebel & Bobby Shmurda, Record “Differences,” And Kicked Off Charity Event

Rowdy Rebel celebrated his birthday, recorded a single, and even participated in the charity event throughout the past week. Let’s get into how this epic week unfolded.

Rowdy & Bobby Give Out Turkeys

Longtime friends Bobby Shmurda and Rowdy Rebel gave out turkeys at Marlboro Houses in Brooklyn. The local residents received more than three hundred turkeys. The rappers spent several hours at the location. They were taking pictures, talking to the volunteers and people who had just come for the groceries.

The rappers then went to an outreach program in Ridgewood, Queens, to talk to troubled teens. Both shared their experiences in prison with the kids and explained just how important it is to stay out of trouble.

Maurice Ballard, who runs a nonprofit called Game of Life, also allegedly helped finance the event.

Rowdy Rebel & Giggs- “Differences”

Rebel also released the new song with a music video. “Differences” clip is a three-and-a-half-minute tutorial on how to style.

Both rappers and a group of people are at the parking lot in the middle of the night. The only incoming light is coming from the flamethrower and chains’ shine.

The song itself sounds purposefully tense. If the only light in the video is coming from the flamethrower, the same energy goes for the music. Bright tension is there.

Rowdy’s Birthday

On Rowdy’s birthday this past week, luxurious videos came out on the internet. Turns out, the rapper got an iced-out chain from Bobby.

Such a productive week with a new single, giveaway, and even a birthday must be really significant for Rowdy. Hopefully, this is a kick-off for his future successful career. At least, a single from him and Bobby Shmurda would definitely help out. Do you agree? What do you think of Rowdy and Bobby?

10 Artist Buzzin’ This Week…

We’re already a month into 2021 and I must say most artists are showing no signs of slowing down. Although it has been a struggle to keep up with the new artist and new releases, the streets have done their due diligence to keep me tapped in. Here are 10 artist buzzin this week:

Lil Durk: Lil Durk  started 2021 off strong with the release of The Voice (Deluxe). The project has been trending for the past week and doesn’t seem to be slowing down. When Durk first appeared on the scene a few years ago, I wasn’t a fan. Today, his growth as an artist is undeniable and he has become one of my favorite newer artist.

London Hill: If you’re from NYC and not tapped in with London Hill, you might be living under a rock. The Bronx native brings a combination of rap and reggae to the table. She has been compared to the likes of Foxy Brown on many occasions. London Hill’s consistency and hard work knocks the competition out the box, every time.

Dream Doll: Dream Doll was obviously born a star. From Starlets, Bad Girls Club and Love & Hip Hop, her name in the game is solidified. When Dream first started rapping, the bars weren’t hitting for a lot of people. Instead of giving up, Dream took the constructive criticism got to work and mastered her craft. She recently released a “Different (Freestyle)” that has everyone talking.

Rowdy Rebel: After serving nearly 6 years in prison, Rowdy Rebel was released on December 15, 2020. Since his release, the Brooklyn native has been right back in his bag; putting on for the GS9 family. His first single “Re-Route” off of Funk Flex’s upcoming project now sits at 3.1 million views.

MoneyBagg Yo: MoneyBagg Yo is a problem in the rap game and I’m happy the world is finally starting to realize it. Before the media attention surrounding his relationships, Money Bagg Yo has proven to be one of the most hardworking artist coming out of Memphis. If you’re just getting in tune, I suggest you tap in with previous projects like  2 Heartless and Fed Baby’s With Young boy NBA.

Fredo Bang: There is a lot of talent coming of of Baton Rogue, Louisiana and Fredo Bang is definitely making a name for himself. Two weeks ago, he released a mixtape entitled In The Name Of Gee (Still Most Hated) which features songs with people like Lil Durk, Sada Baby, Kevin Gates and more. I only see Fredo going up from here.

Coi Leray: I don’t know about you but Coi Leray just never disappoints to me. It’s super dope to see a female artist emerge and continue to grow while being herself. The New Jersey native recently released a single entitled “No More Parties” which is currently being played in the background on everybody’s Instagram and Tik Tok Videos.

Babyface Ray: The streets are talking and people are saying that Babyface Ray is the new voice of Detroit. The 28 year old is a legend in his city but in the process of gaining the respect of the world. He recently released a video with MoneyBagg Yo which is almost at 1 million views.

D Thang: I’m not sure how old D Thang is but I can assure you he is under 18 and lives a crazy life. One of my friends, introduced me to his music a few months ago and I’ve been tapped in ever since. Now, although I don’t condone the young boys and violence; D Thang’s songs are catchy and embody NY drill. He recently released a video entitled “Drama” that is almost at 100k views.

Cashy Cash: I’m not too sure where Cashy Cash came from but as of this week, he is now on my radar. The Bronx native linked with Don Q for “2 Step” and it’s definitely a bop. This is a track off of Cashy Cash’s latest project Richer Than My Opps which is currently being added to my library.
