#FMSpotlight: Leflossmarv – ‘TrusT’ (Listen)

Leflossmarv is always on go. Using his immense love for the mula and hip-hop as motivation, the Canarsie-based musician drops bars that speak on various topics. The basis of his fire-streaking tracks talk about past experiences, staying ten toes down, staying on his grind, all while leaving an array of warning bars to the opps.

Elsewhere, Leflossmarv opens up about his lifestyle and particular dilemmas that cut him deep.

Coupling this with combative instrumentals and a commanding rap delivery, Leflossmarv’s longevity in the hip-hop game is very much apparent. Instead of using a copy and paste-type of musical styling, the artist taps into a sound that’s his and his alone.

Recently, Leflossmarv dropped a 7-track album titled TrusT. The record includes two prominent features: OnpointlikeOP and Tate Kobang. In a word, TrusT explores Leflossmarv’s ambition and money-oriented mind state. Also, Leflossmarv opens up about his brother’s passing and how it’s affected him. Alongside these themes, the album also finds the rapper lovestruck and going from 0 to 100 on the haters. It includes a myriad of bass-heavy beats that garner admiration from trap, hip-hop, and drill. Overall, he undoubtedly has his foot on his competitors’ necks.

As for the music videos to assist, they possess a cut-edge essence. Each visual carries a cinematic feel as if it belongs on the big screen. One visual that brings up Leflossmarv’s creative angle and attention to detail is “Storm (feat. OnpointlikeOP).”

The three-minute flick sees him carrying onsite protection, and at one point, being at the other side of the muzzle as well. Aiming it at those who prey on his downfall, Leflossmarv lets the bullets fly. At one point, we even see his feature OnpointlikeOP who drops his bars while hanging on the block with his day ones.

“Storm” is the first track off TrusT. Led by an opera cry, the bass-infused hip-hop beat finds Leflossmarv dropping braggadocious bars about his prominence. Also, the musician calls out haters and phonies.

He spits, “I’m always ready to rumble/Fly like a bee, but I sting like a lion/Fucking with me mean them niggas is dying/Them niggas be lying/Mamas be crying, bullets be flying.”

Elsewhere, he details his ways with women and being an A-list musician.

Whole lot of hoes got me on they playlist/Look, I know you relate when I say this/Bitch I’m the shit.”

He follows with rhymes about taking care of the smack talkers, staying in his bag, and prospering.

OnpointlikeOP spits bars about his foreign whip, top-tier jewelry, and how he keeps the funds coming in. He also raps about being a hot commodity and how his haters are dealt with.

If I spend a bag, know I get it back/Smoke on my name heard he got (bop bop)/Everybody know I’m flossy by nature/If he talk down, know he a hater/Stay on my team love getting paper.”

At the end of “Storm,” the beat becomes chopped and screwed, followed by a short excerpt from Leflossmarv.
