Fans are expecting the song to make an appearance on Sin City the Mixtape, along with speculations of possible features. One feature fans are hoping for is Juice WRLD,  who Ski Mask had a close relationship with before his death in late 2019. Ski has also released snippets of songs in the past few weeks on social media, giving fans a peek of what to expect on the mixtape.

We know this album will be worth the wait!

Brother of XXXTentacion is Suing His Mother Over Estate

Once again, the XXXTentacion estate is causing problems for his family.

Corey Pack, a brother of the late XXXTentacion, claims that their mother has been hiding money in the estate through shell corporations. Last week, he filed a formal complaint against their mother. Allegedly, mother Cleopatra Bernard was transferring money from the estate to different holding companies. Pack claims that he is being robbed of his portion of the estate, worth $50 million.

This is not the first time Corey has attempted to receive his share of XXXTentacion’s estate

Shortly after the Florida rapper’s death, Bernard allegedly cut Pack out of his estate entirely. Last year, Pack sued her in attempts to receive his (25%) of the estate. An attorney that represents XXX’s brother said on the matter that his mother was attempting to “deprive our client, Corey Pack, of recovery if he’s successful in his efforts to secure his inheritance rights under his late brother’s trust or will.”

Essentially, Bernard was attempting to hide Corey’s possible share of the money. She did this in case Pack could secure his portion of the estate through the lawsuit.

Fans were not happy to hear that XXXTentacion’s mother was getting into more drama regarding the money and her son’s estate. She was also recently involved in the drama regarding her plan to release his unreleased music as NFTs. Many fans found this to be an attempt to profit from the late musician. Since the rapper’s record label released alot of music under his name since his death in 2018, fans have blamed Bernard.

Here’s to hoping they can work out their differences in the future!

#FMTrends: XXTENTACION Wins Top R&B Album at 2019 Billboard Music Awards

XXXTentacion wins Billboard Award nearly one year after his untimely death.

The late rapper’s 2017 album, 17, won the 2019 Billboard Music Award for Top R&B Album.  In addition to the award, he also received multiple nominations to include Top Male Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Streaming Songs Artist, and Top R&B Male Artist.

This isn’t the only award XXXTentacion has received posthumously. In October, he was awarded Best New Hip-Hop Artist at the 2018 BET Hip-Hop Awards and Favorite Soul/R&B Album at the 2018 American Music Awards.

Since his death, more than 22 million copies of his records have been sold. His most successful single, “Sad!,” released in March 2018, was certified double platinum four days before the rapper died. The track debuted at No. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. A week after his death, it rose to the No. 1 spot.

On June 18, Jahseh Onfrony  known as XXXTentacion was fatally shot during a robbery at a motorcycle dealership in Deerfield Beach, Florida. His attackers fled the scene in an SUV after stealing a Louis Vuitton bag containing $50,000 from Onfroy; Four men were indicted on first-degree murder charges in connection with his killing and are currently standing trial.

The day after his death, June 19, XXXTentacion’s song “SAD!” was streamed 10.4 million times on Spotify, breaking the global single-day streaming record set by Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” on Aug. 25, 2017.  The track, “SAD!” was initially banned on the streaming service after announcing a new ‘hateful conduct’ policy. This is because XXXTentacion was been charged with domestic violence and witness tampering of his former girlfriend Geneva Ayala, who was pregnant with his child at the time of the alleged assault.
