Recently, R&B singer Tank made headlines for commenting on a tweet that The Shade Room posted from one of Yung Bleu’s fans, stating, “Yung Bleu might be the new king of R&B. This brotha only makes bangers.”.

Tank replied to that post, saying, “I’m glad I’m from a different generation cause y’all wild,” adding laughing emojis.

Tank Clarifies His Stance Regarding Yung Bleu

AllHipHop spoke with Tank before his performance at Famelive’s event at the Globe Theater in downtown Los Angeles, which kicked off LA Fashion Week. Tank clarified his position regarding the tweet Yung Bleu made proclaiming himself to be King R&B.

The “Please Don’t Go” singer is familiar with Yung Bleu’s work. Therefore, he had nothing but kind words to say about him.

“Oh yeah, I know him. I have his number, so I support him,” Tank told AllHipHop. “Listen, and even after the exchange, I have no ill will toward the kid. I still love his music. His song came on the radio today, and I turned him up.”

The song he heard was Yung Bleu’s collaboration with 2 Chainz and Chris Brown, “Baddest,” and “Collaborative Lies,” featuring Kehlani.

Tank continues,

“I love anybody, especially my young, Black kids that are being successful, that are not in the hood doing no dumb s###.”

New Album Coming

Tank is preparing to release his new album, “R&B Money,” in terms of his own music. Furthermore, he is undertaking a headlining tour to promote the project. A fan favorite, “I Deserve,” will also be celebrated as his No. 1 record.

Tank’s love for fashion was evident before he hit the stage when he sported a Mastermind top with Bottega jeans and a YSL shirt.

Boosie Badazz Opens Up About Yung Bleu In The New Interview

Recently, the rapper Boosie Badazz was the star of an interview with VladTV, a YouTube channel created by Vladimir Lyubovny. Among other things, Boosie Badazz discussed his situation with Yung Bleu.

In one of the clips from the DJVLAD channel, Boosie revealed mistruths regarding multiple ongoing contract disputes. He may also take someone -well, almost everyone- to court.

In response to these statements, Boosie also clarified that he was not ‘necessarily’ talking about Yung Bleu, as he does not blame him for the misunderstandings between the two.

“Ain’t really in it. It’s just the people who [are] always behind it,” said Boosie. “People did some messed up business, and it’s going to come back to haunt everybody.”

VLADTV’s Outstanding Opinions

Likewise, Vlad confessed that he had no idea who Yung Bleu was before Boosie Badazz introduced him and“begged” the host, VladTV, to invite Bleu for an interview.

Vlad seemed unwilling to pass up the opportunity to make a strong statement.

“Once this artist that someone discovers ends up going platinum, the person rarely benefits the way they’re supposed to,” Vlad continued. “And the artist rarely stays loyal to the person that discovered them.”

Boosie then opined, agreeing with him but at the same time saying that it is all due to their bad decisions. But despite everything, and as a businessman, he has to do what is suitable for him.

Vlad’s immense support for the rapper Boosie, who directly supported him throughout the interview, was also clearly noticeable.

“I credit you to his [Yung Bleu’s] success now. You definitely took it over the top with him.”

The Public Opinion On Boosie

Public opinion is an essential factor in many situations. On this occasion, the vast majority of comments support Boosie.

Scrolling down into the comment section, there were several comments from fans about the interview and Badazz’s statements. Many users noted how hurt Boosie feels about this situation and the humility with which he continues to talk about his partner.

“Boosie still giving him the benefit of the doubt and still calling him the biggest and the greatest.”

As expected, Yung Bleu got the worst of it, as there are also several comments from people angry about his actions.

Yung Bleu Arrested After L.A. Shootout

According to The Shade Room, authorities have arrested Alabama rapper Yung Bleu after a shootout in Los Angeles.

Yung Bleu’s shootout

Bleu and his squad visited the Bossa Nova Restaurant on Sunset Boulevard in WeHo and waited outside after ordering food. While waiting, the group noticed a robber sticking someone up near them. Allegedly, Bleu believed the robber would target him next.

So, the rapper and his brother pulled out their firearms and shot at the criminal to keep him away. The robber didn’t take anything from Bleu, but a bullet grazed one of his crew.

Afterward, Bleu fled with his crew but left their vehicle at the scene of the shootout. When they came back for it, the police arrested them on the spot. However, the robber is still at large.

Officers charged Bleu with discharging a firearm and detained him in the Hollywood Detention Center. The rapper bailed himself out quickly, though, with a bond of $35,000, His court date is set for May 27.

Rising crime in LA

Unfortunately, Bleu isn’t the only example of the recent rise of crime in Los Angeles.

In December 2021, the Los Angeles Police Department warned civilians of the rise in crime. More and more people were smashing and grabbing to steal possessions.

“The rash of these smash-and-grab type crimes have placed community members and store employees in significant danger due to the violence that’s associated with them,” Police Chief Michael Moore informed.

In addition, there was a recent house party ambush near Los Angeles that took four civilian lives. According to Mayor James T. Butts, the attack was because the survivor was involved with a gang from another city.

The New Yung Bleu EP- “No, I’m Not Okay”

New Yung Bleu’s EP marks up his highly successful year. The five-track “No, I’m Not Okay” comes after the artist released another “Moon Boy” album in July.

Throughout 2021, Yung Bleu received two BET “Best New Artist” nominations in two months. The only person who ever did this before is Chance the Rapper.

You can guess, things are going very well for Yung Bleu career-wise. His new record is, however, about mental well-being. Below is the tracklist:

  1. No, I’m Not Okay
  2. Yea, Save Yourself
  3. Family (feat Monica)
  4. Welcome Back, Dummy
  5. I’m Jealous

Yung Bleu mostly shares his romantic and spiritual troubles on his new EP. While depression and overall mental crush also come through, love seems to be the most bothersome subject for the artist.

What makes the record even more tragic is the current Bleu’s success. He records features with the stars like Chris Brown and 2 Chainz, visits The Kelly Clarkson Show, and receives multiple awards.

Still, the woes of love keep the artist down. Enough for Yung Bleu to release an EP, primarily dedicated to the subject.

The music creates and adds to the sadness while balancing Hip-Hop, R’n’B, and Bedroom Pop. Mellow kicks and overall “garage” sound add to the EP’s vibe. It almost seems like Bleu produced the whole album by himself at home.

Yung Bleu’s 2021

While the new EP sums up Yung Bleu’s 2021 work, the artist has reached many milestones this year. Yung Bleu’s star features include the likes of Chris Brown and 2 Chainz. The artist also released the “Beautiful Lies” feature with Kehlani two weeks ago. The music video currently has almost five million views.

Yung Bleu’s pathway to success seems to become more apparent and straightforward. He is undoubtedly on his way to worldwide fame and credibility.

The Soul Train Awards 2021 Red Carpet Was On Fire

The Soul Trains Awards is legendary so, it’s only right that it took place at the equally legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York for 2021. It also aired this evening on BET. Between the iconic artists who showed up and their stellar performances, everything was truly amazing to witness. Watching the show was a great way to end the hectic Thanksgiving weekend.

On the red carpet at The Soul Train Awards 2021, stars showed up in expectantly elegant looks. From floor-sweeping gowns to bright suits, everyone came out in their best to celebrate an evening of R&B and Soul music. Check out some of the best looks of the night below. As always, did they slay or nay?

Firstly, we have Summer Walker. She arrived in a very sexy and slinky dress with matching sparkly sandal heels. The print on her dress made a statement with images of notorious women’s mugshots on it. Certainly, Summer knows how to make something eccentric look cute.

Honoree of the night, Ashanti, looked like a holiday Barbie doll. She wore a lengthy black lace dress and gothic-looking rings on her fingers to go with it. In addition, she wore long white nails as a stark contrast to her dress.

21 Savage posed on the red carpet with a look that was as cool as ever. He wore an all-red suit with shiny black shoes, sunglasses, and a red purse. The purse was an unusual choice for such an outfit yet, 21 Savage made it work. In other words, he looked great.

Maxwell also came through with the men’s purse. The R&B legend and Soul Train Awards honoree had one slung over his all-black suit. To add some spice to his look, he wore sparkly shoes, sunglasses, and beads in his hair. He was giving Stevie Wonder with the accessories, no?

Ari Lennox looked super sensual on the red carpet. She wore a shimmery dress with a plunging neckline and feather details. Like Summer Walker, she had on matching sandal heels. Despite wearing minimal accessories, Ari looked very glamorous.

Soul music veteran El Debarge popped out as well. Unlike many of the other attendees however, he decided to show up in something casual. Yung Bleu, BET’s Best New Artist, Releases New Music Video

Yung Bleu has teamed up with Davido to deliver a fresh new music video for Bleu’s song “Unforgiving.” The standout track comes off the rapper’s debut album, Moon Boy.

The video was filmed in Lagos, Nigeria, over the summer. The basis of the plot is Yung Bleu growing up and falling in love with his childhood friend. However, what might sound like a broadly used narrative, comes off in an unexpected yet very creative way. All the small, creative details Bleu includes in the video pull that off.

Bleu manages to create organic mix of natural and surreal. As pictured below, everyday settings and attire have some minor, unexpected details to them. Ones you wouldn’t expect to approach in your everyday routine.

Futuristic glasses add to the repairman suit, making it look like a supersuit. Furniture levitates around the rappers as they sit in ordinary living spaces, as if they were magicians moving objects with rap wizardry.

It almost seems like the camera lens is showing a world through a kids’ eyes. Growing up, real and surreal always mix. A similar feeling is captured in the “Unforgiving” music video.

The various joys of non-surreal life are also there: childhood lifelong friendships, romance, family. The video also doesn’t show any decadent life pleasures (expect maybe owning a space shuttle.) But even though shuttles strive for the glory of discovery and exploration, discovering something more significant, actual astronaut training is the opposite of decadent. This adds to the pattern of both otherworldly and everyday imagery in the music video.

The video’s composition ties together the whole experience. Bright and vivid colors make the setting appear light and sunny. The clip was directed by Dammy Twitch.

Chloe Bailey Leaves Cardi B ‘Blushing’ Over Her Rendition of “Be Careful”

Since creating her own Instagram account, Chloe Bailey has been on a roll! And her latest cover has “Bodak Yellow” rapper blushing…

This past weekend Chloe Bailey dropped yet another smashing cover. This time the “Do It” singer tapped into Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy album track “Be Careful.” Leaving the rapper sending admiration over the rendition. As a result, the Bronx rapper took to social media to praise Bailey for her R&B rendition of the single. “This is soo beautiful got me smiling from ear to ear and blushing maa hard,” the rapper tweeted. “You see this how I thought I sounded on the track.”

Again, “Be Careful” is Cardi B’s third single off her Grammy award-winning album Invasion of Privacy, which also peaked #1 on the Billboard 200.

Since Chloe x Halle decided to create their own Instagram accounts, Chloe has released several covers that include Bruno Mars & Silk Sonic’s “Leave the Door Open,” The Weeknd’s “Earned It,” and Yung Bleu’s “You’re Mine’s Still.” Which caught the singer’s attention, proclaiming that they should do a song.

Obviously Chloe is killing the game right now and everybody should be taking pointers. It was just a while back Mathew Knowles (Beyonce’s father) was shutting down claims as the singer being the next Beyonce’. With her charismatic charm, sultry voice, and being a considerate triple threat (singing, dancing, and acting! What can this girl not do!).

Chloe Bailey may not be the next Bey, but she could definitely be the next star on the rise.
