When he graduated with a bachelors, “Sicko Mode” was number 1 in the country. Keith had graduated degrees in integrated studies and media management. He was working on it his senior year. He has been making and releasing songs to the internet since he was 14. Keith has went on to work with many different big names, such as Drake and DJ Khaled.

Tay Keith’s visit to the campus

Keith had visited the campus shortly before the reveal to talk to the students and try out the new recording studio. He noticed a drastic upgrade to the studio compared to when he was in school. Additionally, he provided internships to the students. On Wednesday, Keith also tried teaching, answering questions about the industry and music in general. At the end of his visit, he became a new Honorary Professor. Public Relations Manager and fellow MTSU graduate Nicholas Brownlow also received the honor to be an Honorary Professor. Brownlow was also visiting the campus to try the studio and instruct students.

Keith had given the students advice such as this. “You want to be able to create music because you love it, you have a passion for it, you know, and then the money will come.”

MTSU is currently making a class called “The Tay Keith Experience”. This class is going to be where Keith helps students that want to get into the music industry.
