Tekashi 6ix9ine Sued For Taking Promoter’s Money & Leaving Venue Before Performing

Ever since the music industry blacklisted Tekashi 6ix9ine, he’s been trolling online. From calling out rappers to even making jabs at himself, it seemed like the “GOOBA” star would rise to fame. But, with his recent stunts, he’s prone to be shunned away once again.

According to Radar Online, Tekashi 6ixine is facing a lawsuit. In June, the rapper was booked to perform at the Humble Civic Center in Houston. However, he left before performing. The promotion company JJD Entertainment says 6ix9ine showed up, took the cash, and didn’t step foot onstage. 

The promoters were upset and said they “spent $178K as well as over $100K for the venue rental, security, and insurance.”

Jamie Dominquez, the honcho at JJD Entertainment, reportedly spoke with Will Cornish, one of 6ix9ine’s reps. 

The deal had Tekashi being paid $45k upon execution of the paperwork and another $75k in cash on the day of the event. He was also paid $20k for a jet from Boca Roton to Texas.

In the suit, the promoter says he paid Tekashi the $45k and booked the private jet at the cost of $28k. However, he says the rapper’s team kept renegotiating the deal, costing him an additional $100k.

6ix9ine later spoke about the incident in an interview. He says that he didn’t perform because he wasn’t paid enough.

Tekashi 6ix9ine assumed that he would receive $250K to perform, but the promoters never agreed. So they’re also suing him for defamation.
