The American Music Awards are known for their big performances. This year’s performers tore up the stage in saucy and memorable manner. Shutting down the stage and the red carpet, the current AMA was the one to remember. Let’s run down some of the night’s top performances.
Top performances of the night
Silk Sonic opened the night with their performance of “Smokin’ Out The Window.” Their rendition of the soulful song took it to the next level. Dripped in red velvet, their one-of-a-kind vocals and smooth moves gave the stage what it needed to begin an eventful evening.
Chloe’s performances have been lighting up stages since she hit the music scene. She took the stage to perform her hit single, “Have Mercy.” Switching out her signature blonde locs, she gave fierce with a new set of red ones to set off her white blinged out two-piece outfit.

If you’ve missed Tyler the Creator performing on the big stage, the AMA’s was your chance to see him. Tyler performed “Massa” from his latest album, Call Me If You Get Lost. His set design went hand in hand with the vibe of his song. Tyler let out some vocals and bird sounds to show why he is the “weird boy” music craves.
New Edition and New Kids On The Block to the stage for the Battle of Boston. With all original members, the veteran boy bands gave us nothing of a battle. However, graced us with ten minutes of pure nostalgic bliss. NKOTB performed “The Right Stuff” first. They showed why their veteran status is cemented. New Edition represented by singing “Candy Girl” with signature dance moves and vocal sanctions. Both groups held it down and continued with hits and precise dance moves that will be remembered for years to come.

BTS: Butter
BTS closed out the awards show with a performance fit for a big stage. The new crazed boy band sang their hit “Butter,” giving light to their yellow suits. Additionally, their polished and effortless dance moves were a seamless match to their vocals. Although Megan Thee Stallion was absent from the performance for personal reasons, they didn’t miss a beat.

Indeed the AMA’s are one of the most pronounced awards shows of the season. With top performances and winners, the AMA’s were a huge success.
