The Game Gives Back To Community “Robin Hood Project”
Many celebrities in the Hip Hop community have gotten a lot of flak for not stepping up in response to important social issues that affect the Black community. However one rapper has been taking matters into his own hands in an effort to lighten the burden in underserved communities. West coast rapper The Game started speaking out against police brutality after the shooting death of unarmed teenager Mike Brown back in August. Now, the celeb has taken things a step further. Today, in a trip to Ferguson, Missouri, The Game stopped by a local McDonald’s on a mission to give out 100 free Happy Meals.
According to his Instagram page, Game worked the drive-thru, manned the deep fryer, and even took orders! He captured the special moments and shared them on his page. Before he left, he also made a stop at Mike Brown’s memorial, making sure to take a pic with Brown’s grandmother at the site. It’s inspiring to see The Game using his platform for good! The Game’s generosity is part of an initiative that he calls The Robin Hood Project. You can keep up with The Game’s good deeds by following his page on Instagram. (@therobinhoodproject)
