The Los Angeles Lakers star forward recently shared his criticism by absolutely torching the NBA in a slew of tweets.

“They all didn’t wanna listen to me about the start of the season,” James said. “I knew exactly what would happen.”

The Lakers enjoyed just 71 days off between clinching the championship title and beginning the proceeding season. James would eventually succumb to an ankle injury and miss 26 games in the second half of the season while teammate Anthony Davis battled his own injuries throughout the year. Davis’ last injury occurred during the Laker’s last game of the season. LA would fall to the Phoenix Suns in the first round.

Since then, the playoffs have been riddled with injuries to players including James Harden, Kyrie Irving, and Kawhi Leonard.

“This is the best time of the year for our league and fans but missing a ton of our fav players,” James said. “… If there’s one person that knows about the body and how it works all year round, it’s ME!”

LeBron, 36, is the former vice president of the NBA Players Association. Add that to his jarring resume, Finals appearances, and jaw-dropping stats, so there’s probably some credibility to his statement. Before the start of the season, Clippers point guard Patrick Beverly said, “if @KingJames said he hooping. We all hooping.”

We all saw the number of injuries that occurred during the 2020 NFL season. And it can be said that the absence of a preseason had something to do with that. We have a similar case with star NBA players dropping left and right and proof that money does talk.
