Several NBA teams have voted to boycott the rest of the season while inspiring other sports leagues to join in solidarity.
On Tuesday, The players of Milwaukee Bucks decided to boycott game five of their first-round series against the Orlando Magic. The team released a statement in support of Justice for Jacob Blake.

“We are calling for justice for Jacob Blake and demand the officers be held accountable. For this to occur, it is imperative for the Wisconsin State Legislature to reconvene after months of inaction and take up meaningful measures to address issues of police accountability, brutality, and criminal justice reform. We encourage all citizens to educate themselves, take peaceful and responsible action, and remember to vote on Nov. 3.”, Said by the Bucks.
According to Bleacher Report, The Lakers and Clippers teams have voted to not play the rest of the NBA season. Many other teams have decided to follow this lead such as the Huston Rockets and The Oklamona City Thunder as they boycott game five of their series.

Leagues such as The WNBA and MBL announced the boycott and postponed of their scheduled games. The WNBA continues to spread awarness in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.

On Wednesday, The NBA announced that the players have voted to resume the season.
