The Next Big Purchase by Lil Uzi Vert Is… A Planet?

Lil Uzi Vert is making his craziest purchase yet

Philadelphia rapper Lil Uzi Vert is no stranger to extravagant spending. Earlier this year, he made headlines when he implanted a $24M pink diamond in his forehead. Now, he’s decided to one-up himself.

Grimes, musician and girlfriend of none other than billionaire Elon Musk, revealed his newest cop. Apparently, Uzi is in the process of purchasing an entire planet. Yes, you read that right.

Grimes revealed the information via her Twitter page this morning.

The planet is named WASP-127b. It’s a gaseous giant which is actually larger than Jupiter.

The rapper is reportedly still working on documentation to finalize his purchase. If all goes according to plan, Lil Uzi Vert will be the first human to legally own an entire planet.

Is this all part of an album rollout?

This all could be part of a big stunt to promote Uzi’s music. A couple days ago, Uzi took to Twitter to tease a new project on the way, simply called Pink Tape.

He also briefly released and deleted a snippet for a new track for the project, “HYFR.” He channels his inner Lil Wayne on the snippet.

We’ll see if Uzi’s wild purchase actually goes through, but it’s pretty on-brand for him.
