The Simpsons Get DIVORCED?!?!
Television’s longest running marriage, a total of 26 seasons, will sadly be coming to an end when The Simpsons 27th season premieres. The Simpson’s executive producer Al Jean told Variety that Homer and Marge Simpson will be indeed separating.
“In the premiere, it’s discovered after all the years Homer has narcolepsy, and it’s an incredible strain on the marriage,”Jean told Variety in an interview. “Homer and Marge legally separate, and Homer falls in love with his pharmacist,” who will be voiced by ‘Girls’ creator-star, Lena Dunham. Jean also revealed that there will also be cameos from other women from the show ‘Girls’.
For many Simpsons fans this may come as a complete shock as the cartoon couple have endured so much during their television years.
The Simpsons Season 27 premieres September 27th on Fox.
