Toosii Calls Out Artists for Reaction Post-Travis Scott Event

Published

on

Hip hop artist Toosii recently made headlines with his angst over the reaction of other artists to the Travis Scott incident. And given his statements, there is no denying that he feels some kind of way, and it is not warm and fuzzy.

He said a mouthful.

“Why all these artists dragging it now that sh*t just happened with Travis?” he wrote.

He was clearly calling out the hypocrisy of some of his industry mates. But the question is, did he say too much?

Toosii’s Ire

Without a doubt, coverage of the Travis Scott incident has run deep since its occurrence. And other artists have been very vocal in their response, and Toosii is no different. However, it can be said that the young hip-hop artist took his sentiments to the next level. The only thing he didn’t do was identify artists by name.

He put it out there, so there is no hiding that he said it.

He’s not down for bandwagoning, at least per his earlier statements.

y’all ain’t been giving a f*ck about the fans some of y’all don’t even take pictures with them.”

Change of Heart?

So, did Toosii have a change of heart? Well, maybe.  Because according to hotnewhiphop.com Toosii’s earlier comments now cease to exist.

“Toosii reportedly shared his thoughts in a since-deleted tweet.”

Perhaps he said a little too much?

Or maybe the tweet was deleted at the suggestion of his PR team?

Whatever the case, the rationale behind the disappearance of the tweet remains a question for now.

Lessons

However, quite a few others weren’t shy in supporting Toosii’s original comments. And, indeed, he is not the only artist feeling the same way.

So perhaps the lesson here is to think before your tweet.
