Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion are not in a great place. By now, the masses are all familiar with what went down in the summer of 2020, well, at least partially. The crowds of Stallion fans went into shock after it was reported Megan was shot in the feet. Even more shocking was the news that Lanez was behind the shooting. And, since the night of that incident, we have been waiting for something solid. Instead, however, what we have gotten is a lot of heated exchange.
Megan’s Rock-Solid Proof
A clencher in Megan’s story is she has a text message from Lanez sent the night of the incident of him apologizing profusely. Reportedly TMZ saw the text from Lanez and can verify the text was from Lanez and what the contents entail. The text saved on Megan’s phone read,
“I know u prolly never gone talk to me again, but I genuinely want u to know I’m sorry from the bottom of my heart.”
Proof positive that the text is an apology.
Lanez did something foul against Megan to warrant an apology from the bottom of his heart.
So without question, The “Body” star is using this as evidentiary proof Lanez did inflict harm on her person. However, the claim which must be proven is the apology was relative to the shooting.
Megan and Lanez Drama is a Debacle
Now comes the confusion. Lanez was inebriated at the time of the incident. According to TMZ, this information was derived from the text Megan received. As we know, alcohol and passion in any form don’t mix; such leads to behaviors that have people acting out of pocket. So, there is proof of lapse of judgment. Nevertheless, Lanez doesn’t admit to the shooting.
Breaking Down Lanez’s message to Megan
If we reread the apology, there is more. Further, in the text message, Lanez says,
“None the less s**t should have never happened, and I can’t change what did. I just feel horrible. “And, he repeats … “Cuz I genuinely just got too drunk.”
Notice there is no admission to being sorry for shooting the WAP star. But Lanez did apologize for something.
Instigators Front and Center
Some people can’t help but be instigators. Akademiks made it his point to stoke the fire in the court of public opinion. The worms that came out of the can he opened were massive. Megan was not sitting back while the mass media judged her integrity and authenticity.
Akademik’s lit the match when he posted,
“Tory Lanez DNA wasn’t found on the gun allegedly used to shoot Megan in July 2020.”
Megan, incensed, went to work to defend her position. But unfortunately, this is not the first time Megan has had to break it down for the people. But, when smoke becomes blackened and thick, you can rest assured there is a raging fire beneath the surface. So Lanez took his opportunity to fire back.
Lanez’s Clap Back at Stallion
Lanez thought it prudent to make things crystal clear. According to Lanez, he did not apologize to Stallion for shooting her. This claim came directly from his fingers,
“Good D*ick had me fucking 2 best friends,” he wrote. “And I got caught. That’s what I apologized 4 … it’s sick how u spun it tho.”
By now, most of those following the developments have their mouths wide open. But, unfortunately, foul is as foul does.
What Can We Make of These Developments?
Without a doubt, Lanez inflicted pain, whether emotional or physical. The physical has not quite been proven. The emotional infliction is there in black and white for all the world to see. Still, one’s innocence remains intact until proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. So since there is no definite charge against Lanez as far as the shooting it is wise to withhold judgment.
We don’t know where any of this will lead. According to TMZ, the two will be heading to court in April of this year. But, since Megan says she and the police have all the receipts for what went down, we will have to wait and see. FM Hip Hop will keep its readers informed.
