Travis Scott’s Dior Partnership Gets Put On Hold

Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack partnership with Dior is on hold for now.

Tuesday, Dior announced that the project between Travis and Kim Jones, Dior’s artistic director, would not be released any time soon. Indeed, it may never come out.

Dior is a French luxury fashion house that sells all sorts of designer items, from clothing and apparel to fragrances and accessories.

Dior planned to collaborate with Travis to include Cactus Jack in their summer 2022 collection. However, Dior has pulled out of the partnership.

“Out of respect for everyone affected by the tragic events at Astroworld, Dior has decided to postpone indefinitely the launch of products from the Cactus Jack collaboration originally intended to be included in its summer 2022 collection,” Dior said during their announcement.

Sources say this decision was mutual between Dior and Travis. Both agreed to postpone the release, pending a later date.

Following the Astroworld tragedy, several companies have postponed Travis’s projects. Some include his Cacti Hard Seltzer with Anheuser-Busch and his shoes with Nike.

The shoe company planned to collab with Travis for an “Air Max 1 x Cactus Jack” project.

Nike scheduled the Baroque Brown kicks to come out mid-December, but they canceled it in November. Like Dior, they also gave an announcement.

“Out of respect for everyone impacted by the tragic events at the Astroworld Festival, we are postponing the launch of the Air Max 1 x Cactus Jack.”

Travis Scott After Astroworld

Ten fans died at Astroworld, and more than 300 were hospitalized.

Since then, Travis expressed that he feels responsible for fixing things. He even said so in his first interview with Charlamagne Tha God. The rapper states that he wants to be there for the mourning families.

“They lost their loved ones. I just always wanna be there for them. I’m gonna fix this problem and make sure this doesn’t happen in the future.”
