#CherryJuice: Petition To Ban Tyler The Creator From Touring!

Tyler The Creator Done Pissed Of The Collective!

Tyler The Creator is set to tour Australia in September but an an Australian activist group, Collective Shout, has petitioned to keep Tyler from coming to the country because he promotes violence against women. The petition urges prime minister Peter Dutton to deny Tyler a visa.

In a statement posted on the Collective Shout website, the group suggests that his music

“propagates discriminatory ideas about women and other groups, and represent a danger to a segment of the Australian community on the potential basis of incitement to acts of hatred”.

Collective Shout co-founder Melinda Tankard Reist spoke to 3AW host Neil Mitchell saying “He’s a controversial visa applicant. We believe he’s in breach of his visa conditions, which state very clearly that you cannot come here and propagate, vilify or incite discord in the Australian community.”

This isn’t the first time activists have been out for Tyler. Tyler’s group, Odd Future, was banned from performing in New Zealand and was deemed “a potential theat to public order.”
