After appearing in her first televised interview, Jennifer Hough, the alleged rape victim of Nicki Minaj’s Husband, has been receiving threats from the fans of Nicki Minaj. On Wednesday, Jennifer Hough appeared on “The Real” to recount her rape and let everyone know what the Petty’s have been up to. She has filed a lawsuit against Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty, accusing the two of intimidating her into recanting the rape. She claims that they have tried to bribe her with money, and when that didn’t work, she was issued what appeared to be a death threat. No one from Nicki Minaj’s team has responded to the lawsuit, and her attorneys have declined to comment.
Jennifer Hough Recalls the Attack
During the emotional interview, Jennifer Hough talked about the rape that she says took place in 1994. According to her recollection, she was on her way to school and spotted Kenneth Petty at a bus stop. When she crossed the street, he asked her where she was going, and she said “school.” Jennifer Hough asked him the same thing, and he too said “school.” She turned away from Petty for just a moment, and before she knew it, Petty was grabbing hold of her jacket.
Jennifer Hough felt something in her back and assumed that it was a gun. She started walking and pleaded with Petty the entire time. They ended up at a house where he forced her inside. She asked him what he wanted, and he responded, saying, “you know what I want!” He then pushed her down onto the bed. She wrestled him for her clothes. She tried to hold on to her pants, but he managed to pull them down and rape her.
Petty’s Arrest and Conviction
Shortly after, Jennifer Hough managed to escape and ran all the way to school. She told the security guard about what had happened to her, and the guard called the police. The police came and placed her in the back of a van. They asked her if she could show them where the incident took place. She showed them and watched the police as they brought Petty out in handcuffs. Jennifer Hough was then taken to the hospital. Kenneth Petty pleaded guilty to first-degree attempted rape in April 1995 and was sentenced to 18-54 months in prison. He served 4 years in prison.
Nicki Minaj Fans Threaten Victim After the Show
According to Jennifer Hough’s attorney Tyrone Blackburn, she has been bombarded with a slew of hate-filled messages from Nicki Minaj’s fans, known as the Barbz. The DM’s that she has been receiving contain inciting insults, personal contact information, and a death wish. This adds to the constant fear that she’s had to live in due to her connection with Petty. Jennifer Hough said she has had to live through fear and insecurities, so she filed a lawsuit against Nicki Minaj and Petty. She said that she didn’t want to be afraid anymore.
