Vince Staples drops some bars for the LA Leakers anticipating the release of his self-titled album.
Vince Staples came by Power 106’s L.A. Leakers to unleash a freestyle over Dr. Dre’s “Xxplosive” track as the world awaits the arrival of his self-titled fourth studio album. Vince Staples snaps over the classic west coast instrumental with 3 minutes of hard hitting bars. Over the course of which Staples names names, makes huge claims, and casts a suspicious eye at the rap game in a wordplay-riddled freestyle.
“We spun around his block he did the Running Man
Shawty did the Lil’ Kim, missed him but we hit his friend”
As always, Vince’s bars never fail to disappoint, as evidenced by this track. “I hope y’all liked that freestyle I done my due diligence,” Vince Staples commented on Twitter after the freestyle was released.
“Run and point that .32 and make ‘em sicker than Magic, voilà
If I ever tap the side of his hat, it’s trauma”
On Friday, July 9, Staples self-titled studio will be available to stream on all platforms. It is the first full-length album from the Long Beach rapper since 2018’s FM!. Vince Staples snaps on the two previously released two singles for the album, “Law Of Averages” and “Are You With That?” so the rest of the record has a lot to live up to. Kenny Beats, a frequent collaborator of Staples produced the whole 10-track project.
I hope y’all liked that freestyle I did my due diligence.
