The names of Billie Eilish and Ye are trending after a bit of dispute between them on Instagram.
A clip from Billie Eilish’s concert where the singer stopped her show for helping a fan get an inhaler went viral, but not necessarily for her good intentions.
“I wait for the people to be okay before I keep going,” Billie Eilish said.
Such comment immediately caught everyone’s attention, especially Ye’s, who suggested Billie Eilish said it as an insult to Travis Scott:
“COME ON BILLIE WE LOVE YOU PLEASE APOLOGIZE TO TRAV AND TO THE FAMILIES OF THE PEOPLE WHO LOST THEIR LIVES”
The Astroworld Tragedy
In November of last year, rapper Travis Scott’s performance at Astroworld in Houston, Texas, ended in tragedy. The crowd began pushing toward the stage, sparking panic and causing fights among the people. At least nine people were injured, and hundreds were found injured.
But what got everyone on social media furious was Scott’s reaction to the incident. According to some videos on social media, the rapper did nothing to help his fans and continued the concert.
Days later, Scott used his Twitter account to write how hurt he was by the events.
“I’m absolutely devastated by what took place last night. My prayers go out to the families and all those impacted by what happened at Astroworld Festival.”
Billie Eilish’s Response
After all the uproar Ye’s comment caused on social media, Billie Eilish finally came out to respond to the rapper’s comment.
“Literally never said a thing about travis. was just helping a fan”
It was a short answer, but it was enough to settle the discussion between Ye and Billie Eilish.
What do you think? Will the dispute continue? Will Ye continue to leave controversial comments on every other matter?
