WASHINGTON HEIGHTS SCHOOL BUS HIT BY BULLETS
According to 7online , a mini school bus in Washington Heights was hit by three bullets this morning around 6:30 a.m.
The shots were believed to have come from either a window or fire escape from a nearby building. It is not clear who or what the gunman was targeting.
Three 9mm shell casings were found at the scene. One bullet hit a window, while a second flattened a tire.
Luckily there were no children on the bus when the shooting occured and only the driver was in the vehicle. No injuries were reported and Amsterdam Avenue, where the shooting took place, is currently shut down for investigation.
UPDATE
A suspect is now in custody and according to an NYPD spokesperson the bus wasn’t the shooters intended target. Weapons were recovered from the scene and charges are currently pending.
