Abel Tesfaye, aka The Weeknd, has become a growing legend in a relatively short time in the game.
Since his humble beginnings in the mixtape circuit with the Trilogy series, the Canadian-born singer has consistently elevated and reinvented his sound. And even though the Recording Academy chose to disrespect his artistry by not awarding the “After Hours” album of any award nominations, that’s not stopping him from enjoying his victory.
The 31-year-old took to Twitter, eluding that the ‘After Hours’ era may not be over just yet.
“p.s. this chapter isn’t quite done yet …” he wrote on Friday, March 26. He added in a second tweet, “still tying some loose ends.”
These tweets came after the Weeknd shared a fan-made collage of visuals from the project on his Instagram. He captioned with “an era” comment.
The Weeknd has been hinting at moving on from the After Hours aesthetic for some time. However, these new tweets beg to differ. Whatever way he chooses to go, fans will be excited to see what else he has up his creative sleeves.
