While the world is in a state of turmoil, artists and celebrities from every walk of life are stepping forward to use their platform for the good of society. Whether it’s a new anthem for protests or a powerful post on Twitter, it seems like everybody has something to say… everybody except Kendrick Lamar.

Ever since the release of his soundtrack for the ‘Black Panther’ movie over two years ago, there has been complete radio silence from Kendrick. No projects, singles, or features have been dropped by the ‘m.A.A.d city’ rapper during this time, and he also hasn’t posted anything on social media since March 5th, 2020.

Despite being completely quiet, the Compton rapper is rumored to have an album in the works that is set to release sometime during 2020. Maybe it will be his manifesto on the whole situation, or maybe it will have nothing to do with the racial tension we currently live in. One thing is for sure, the world needs more leaders during this time of hardship, and more specifically, we need King Kendrick.
