Young Thug is getting ready to release his solo debut and is taking the reins from Lil Wayne for Tha Carter series. Last year, he jokingly stated that he would name his debut album Tha Carter VI but he may have actually been serious. While on set for a Rich Gang video back in September, Young Thug told MTV News “I dunno, ’cause Wayne’s coming out with more albums. I don’t know if he’s gonna name one of them Carter VI. It depends on what he names his album.”
Since Lil Wayne has officially declared that Tha Carter V will be his last installment, Young Thug is taking the opportunity to drop a few more installments. ” He did one to five, I’m gonna do six to 10,” he said. Young Thug let his fans know Tha Carter VI is on the way via Instagram in a video and has since been hash tagging his Instagram posts with #C6OTW.

Two leaks surfaced from Thug’s soundcloud and are reportedly off Tha Carter VI. Both tracks, Beat It and Halftime, were produced by London On Da Track. Check em’ out below.
