According to The Shade Room, authorities have arrested Alabama rapper Yung Bleu after a shootout in Los Angeles.

Yung Bleu’s shootout

Bleu and his squad visited the Bossa Nova Restaurant on Sunset Boulevard in WeHo and waited outside after ordering food. While waiting, the group noticed a robber sticking someone up near them. Allegedly, Bleu believed the robber would target him next.

So, the rapper and his brother pulled out their firearms and shot at the criminal to keep him away. The robber didn’t take anything from Bleu, but a bullet grazed one of his crew.

Afterward, Bleu fled with his crew but left their vehicle at the scene of the shootout. When they came back for it, the police arrested them on the spot. However, the robber is still at large.

Officers charged Bleu with discharging a firearm and detained him in the Hollywood Detention Center. The rapper bailed himself out quickly, though, with a bond of $35,000, His court date is set for May 27.

Rising crime in LA

Unfortunately, Bleu isn’t the only example of the recent rise of crime in Los Angeles.

In December 2021, the Los Angeles Police Department warned civilians of the rise in crime. More and more people were smashing and grabbing to steal possessions.

“The rash of these smash-and-grab type crimes have placed community members and store employees in significant danger due to the violence that’s associated with them,” Police Chief Michael Moore informed.

In addition, there was a recent house party ambush near Los Angeles that took four civilian lives. According to Mayor James T. Butts, the attack was because the survivor was involved with a gang from another city.
