The San Francisco native mentioned the upcoming all-star collaboration in a behind-the-scenes clip for his Billboard October Chartbreaker interview:

On the other hand, Bieber and Balvin have worked together in the past, as well. The Colombian superstar had a verse on Sorry (Latino Remix) back in 2015–remix to the hit single off Justin’s fourth studio album, Purpose. This was Balvin’s first-of-many crossovers into the American market. Moreover, it sparked the beginning of Latino Remixes, which became popular during the second half of the last decade. Justin isn’t foreign to these sorts of crossovers either, helping elevate Despacito (Remix) into becoming the most successful song of all time back in 2017.
