The music industry’s most influential, power couple, Beyoncé and Jay Z (aka Mr. and Mrs. Carter), have done such an awesome job at keeping their 15 year relationship intact, especially publicly. I mean, in a world where no one takes marriage seriously anymore, they’ve been a tremendous motivating force and public symbol of hope for love. Despite the shit loads of false allegations, rumors, bad wishes from almost all of society, and awful media coverage with intent to tear the couple apart, on a daily basis, the union has stayed strong and in love- at least as far as we know. But, of course, someone just haaaas to give the world more insight on what really goes on under the, successful rap and songstress moguls, roof. Basically, author, J.Randy Taraborrelli, has written a ‘Tell-All’ about the ends and outs of the Carter marriage, titled Becoming Beyoncé: The Untold Story.
Now, obviously, both, fans and haters are excited for this book. The Bey Hive is overly juiced for the opportunity to learn more about it’s Queen Bey, and haters are perfectly satisfied with their opportunity to be enlightened with some airing of Yonce’s dirty laundry. It’s a real shame that living out your dreams, in the public eye, means that having intimate and personal happenings of your life sprawled across television networks, blog sites, and magazines is inevitable. The famous duo is almost so lowkey that even the paparazzi has a difficult time keeping up with them; yet, an outside source managed to write an entire book on their life and marriage, just telling it all. Geez Louis.
Becoming Beyoncé: The Untold Story will, obviously, include multiple interviews and quotes from Beyoncé’s closest inside sources. This gives all readers an up close and personal view of her openly professional, and very private life. And although, J. Randy Taraborelli, himself, doesn’t believe that Mr. Jay Z Carter has stepped out his long lasting relationship, with the ‘Feeling Myself’ crooner, the book will highlight rumors of infidelity, the two living apart for however long, and of course the elevator situation with Bey’s sister Solange, at the Met Gala.
Reported by People Magazine,
In an interview with EW, author J. Randy Taraborrelli
Tarraborrelli explained that rumors about Rihanna and Jay Z created tension in the relationship. Jay Z signed Rihanna to the Def Jam Records label in the early aughts, and rumors immediately started circulating that he was seeing her on the side. While this may have been a publicity stunt to drive attention for the budding artist, it got to Beyoncé. “Beyoncé didn’t know what to make of this,” Taraborrelli says, “and it actually ended up breaking them up for a time. They spent maybe a year apart from each other because Beyoncé just wasn’t sure what to make of the situation with Rihanna.”
“Taraborrelli believes the infamous post-Met Gala elevator spat between Jay Z and Beyoncé’s sister Solange stemmed from a fight over Rihanna, as well.”
“It was a whispered married couple’s argument that would have gone by completely unnoticed had not Solange overheard it … Solange has always been Beyoncé’s biggest protector,” he told ET, adding actually doesn’t know what caused the tiff.”
I don’t have much of an opinion, yet, on this tell-all but am interested to see how society reacts to such information on one of the biggest influences of today’s culture. I do hope Bey gives us some sort of statement of her feelings about such a project, based on her life.
Shut up, Shabetti Bashazz.
