Eboni K. Williams Will Now Host and Produce Diddy’s Revolt Show ‘Black News’

“With everything going on in the news cycle right now, we need a space where Black culture and critical analysis combine to advance the conversation,” Eboni K Williams states in regards to her new position.
Every Tuesday and Thursday at 9pm ET, African Americans will have a news show that is catered to them. It’s about time that this was done as previous major news stations, for the most part, are run and hosted by whites and sometimes ignore news that is relevant to minorities. Hip Hop legend, Diddy, heard the complaints of his people and has offered a news show produced by black people, for black people.
The Revolt team went all out in trying to get the best, most credible, host for its latest series and ended up with a pretty good fit. Attorney, panelist for Revolt’s “State of the Culture” show, and former correspondent for CNN and CBS, Eboni K. Williams, will be coming to you with reports twice per week featuring important stories that don’t get enough spotlight on regular news broadcasts.

The most recent episode of the series was packed with information as it was over 42 minutes long. The show is straight to the point and filled with non-biased facts, as every news show should be. Some of the stories that were highlighted include the banning of police chokeholds, the NFL’s new standpoint on Colin Kaepernick, and, of coarse, the George Floyd aftermath. Revolt’s “Black News” is interesting and is exactly what the black community needed at this time. The only room for improvement in the show would be the overall editing, as the sound quality and transitions between stories are a little lacking.

“When I started Revolt, I always wanted to develop a platform to report the news from our perspective, from our lens, from our people, so I decided to launch ‘Revolt Black News’… We’re here with solutions. We’ve already heard about what we can’t do, but this is what we can do.” says Diddy, and he could not have been more on the point. Watch the latest episode here.
