Baby Keem Returns With 2 New Tracks

Since his EP in 2018 Baby Keem has rocketed into the music scene. His  album ‘Die for My Bitch’ made it to Billboard’s hot 100 while  he was only 18 years old. The album included the iconic song ‘Orange Soda‘ that brought 100 million Spotify listens to the rapper on that song alone. Since his work with Kendrick Lamar, his cousin, on project Black Panther: The Album, new music from the rapper was highly anticipated. He was also included in the 2020 XXL Freshman, a huge accomplishment from a growing artist. Last but not least, the 19 year old has worked with the music icon herself, Beyonce, on The Lion King: The gift.

At only 19 it is no surprise Baby Keem is becoming as big as he is. This week, the rapper released his first songs since his last album in 2019. As teased on twitter, his new tracks, ‘Hooligan’ and ‘Sons & Critics,’ dropped Thursday night. The two were released under Kendrick Lamar and David Free’s  company ‘pgLang,’ a company that still remains an enigma to fans.

While the tracks are noticeably unique from one another, they function like a cohesive pair that balance each other out. ‘Hooligan’ finds itself far more relaxed and melodic while ‘Sons & Critics’ stresses more on the preciseness of his verses. Both tracks have Keem’s witty, exaggerated and straight forward lyrics that have become his established style.

‘Hooligan’ also came with a music video to match which can be viewed below:
