Wiz Khalifa Writes 9 Songs Overnight
Wiz has been making fans wait for his music. Not releasing any albums since 2018, when he tweeted “9 songs over Sledgren and Cardo beats last night”, his fans went into a frenzy. Is a new album coming out? All this time, Khalifa has been teasing fans with additions to mixtapes, but never producing a new original album. It seems fans are now itching for new music and excited at the prospect of what this night came about to be. As responses poured in, the tweet received replies like “needed this” or “this is going to be fire.”
Sledgren and Cardo are members of Wiz’s Taylor Gang Collective, one of the biggest labels in hip hop. They have helped push Wiz to new heights. Sledgren produced hits like “Never Been” and “Waken Baken” while Cardo helped produce “Mezmorized” and “In the Cut”
On Taylor Gang’s Instagram, they posted the tweet alongside a picture of Wiz Khalifa and asked fans if they were ready.
