Syracuse, NY artist Baddnewsspeaks about swimming against the current in his latest single “Good Vibes (feat. Benny The Butcher).” He also opens up about detaching himself from others who aren’t on the same wavelength as him. In his infamous chorus, he raps,
“Our visions weren’t equally aligned/To chase my dreams; I had to leave the streets below.”
Fortunately, the bold rapper made it to the top by releasing consecutive viral freestyles back to back. This scored him diehard fans and a slot on the hit Netflix series Rhythm + Flow. On the show, he delivered a show-stopping performance for T.I., Quavo, and Big Boi.
As the song carries on, the rapper throws warning bars at his haters and talks about protecting his energy.
He delivers, “All by myself/Yeah I’m going out the same way I came/Don’t say a thing/If you sending shots, then just say a name.”
Benny The Butcher spits charged-up bars about his work ethic, blocking out the negativity, and remaining humble through it all.
He raps, “Hooligans, you know how I’m maneuverin’/Them Top 10 lists I find humor in/And I been on incline like ten times/Plugs I befriend mine/The Benz with the tuxedo inside/F*CK it, I’m stayin’ humble.”
The production was curated by Noc, who has worked with artists like Rick Ross, Jadakiss, and Coi Leray.
