Get ready for another NBA Draft

After a long and eventful NBA season, it’s time for an equally exciting offseason. Tonight, the top young talents in the world join professional basketball teams in the 2021 NBA Draft.

The Detroit Pistons will have the first pick in the draft, and there will be no surprises regarding their selection. ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski has already confirmed that Detroit has decided to take Oklahoma State’s Cade Cunningham with their pick.

Scouts are considering Cunningham to be a generational talent. He has drawn comparisons to Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic.

Also selecting in the top 3 are the Houston Rockets and Cleveland Cavaliers. Jalen Green and Evan Mobley are expected to be taken by those teams.

What about the rest of the league?

While the selections seem predictable for those teams, the rest of the league will be focused on what other talents may fall to their draft spot. Additionally, the NBA Draft is always a prime time for trading.

Fans should be keeping an eye on the Philadelphia 76ers. Reports suggest they want to trade Ben Simmons tonight. The young star has been the topic of many trade rumors following his questionable playoff performances. Terrence Ross and Myles Turner are some of the other names that have floated around in trade rumors for tonight.

Whatever happens, tonight’s draft should be exciting and will surely introduce future stars into the league.
