Sean “Diddy” Combs Flamed for Resurfaced “Making the Band” Video

The word is Making the Band is coming back, and the revival of the brand is sparking interesting commentary on Sean Diddy Combs.

Diddy’s Making of the Band

Sean “Diddy” Combs spearheaded “Making the Band.” The show was marketed as a talent search for Diddy’s label Bad Boy Entertainment. During the first season, Combs and his team searched the country to construct the music group while the second and third seasons chronicled Da Band on the road and in the studio.

Reportedly, the green light for this show was predicated on Diddy’s former success with creating a stellar music group.

He was the mastermind behind Dream, a pop quartet who sang the hit “He Loves Me Not.”

The Skeletons of Sean “Diddy” Combs

As most know, skeletons don’t stay in the closet for long. Unfortunately, a few skeletons accompanied the announcement of the return of “Making the Band.” These skeletons were the sole property of Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Recent headlines reveal never-seen-before footage has surfaced from the former season of “Making the Band.”  Viewers were taken aback, comparing the experience to a prison camp.

Where do these skeletons come from?

In the footage, Diddy was extremely harsh on the contestants. Combs was so rough one viewer compared “Making the Band” to “Squid Games.”

“If Diddy wasn’t shutting the studio down, he was making them walk all the way to Brooklyn to get him a slice of cheesecake. Making the Band 2 was MTV’s Squid Game.”

Now that’s a telling reference. All who watched “Squid Games” understand they took brutality to another level.

Dissecting Sean “Diddy” Comb’s Behavior

Not sure Diddy was being extremely brutal; however, there is an absolute callousness to his practices. The video footage shows singers aggressively singing in each other’s faces in a head-to-head. This is said to have taken place under Diddy’s observation.

But of course, it did; he set up the challenge.

Singing aggressively in another’s face isn’t remarkable, irritating, and perhaps tortuous given the individual. No one is going to die from a head-to-head vocal challenge. So, it’s hard to paint Diddy as a correctional tyrant for this exercise.

The Long Walk for Diddy

However, sources note Diddy also had contestants walk an excessive distance to get him some cheesecake for him.

Inarguably such a request is a lot and borderline manipulative. Nevertheless, the question becomes did Diddy assign this activity to determine the tenacity of the contestants (how far they are willing to go for something) or as a means of serving his wants.

Unfortunately, this cannot be derived from the video.

Unlike a prison camp, the contestants had a choice. It was purely their choice to walk miles to get Diddy a piece of cheesecake. And one thing is a fact, people will do anything for a big break. But, conversely, some people will take advantage of others’ desperation.

Did Diddy?

Awaiting a Response

Diddy hasn’t responded to the surfacing of the videos. And one can make assumptions in any direction. Diddy has never been one to go easy on those who fell under his tutelage. So we must wait and see if he opens up about his process. If Combs doesn’t open up, we can always determine after viewing the revival if he is to be a part.
