Lil Bibby May Cancel Posthumous Juice Wrld Album Due to Leaks

Juice Wrld tragically passed away in 2019, but his legacy lives through music. According to Label CEO Lil Bibby, we might miss his next album.

Bibby makes an announcement

Song leaks are simply unavoidable in this modern age of streaming. Even industry heavyweights like Kanye and Drake have fallen victim to tracks leaving the vault. Now, It looks like Chicago rapper Lil Bibby is facing similar problems with the upcoming Juice Wrld album The Party Never Ends.

The ‘Kill Shit’ artist is CEO of Grade A Productions. With the full control he has over Juice Wrld’s unreleased music, one would think it would be easy to manage. But apparently, the job has its challenges.

Earlier this week (Mar.16) music blogger DJ Akademiks posted a screenshot containing a Twitter DM conversation. The chat between Bibby and an unknown user revealed the struggles Grade A Productions is experiencing with rampant leaks.

“These leaks is getting out of hand,” Bibby typed.

“I Hope all the fans are happy, the party never ends might be canceled if all this shit leaks.”

Mother knows best

The problem hasn’t gone unaddressed. Juice Wrld’s mother Carmella Wallace spoke to XXL in December of last year about dealing with leaks.

“I understand they loved him. They loved his music, but there’s a proper way to do it. Let us give you our best. Leaked music is not necessarily cleaned up music, it’s just leaked, it’s not finished.”

She explained.

She explicitly described the leaks as “disrespectful” in the interview. While it’s good the fans are enthusiastic about the music, it’s a little discouraging to see leaks persist after Wallace’s plea. Hopefully, the fans can control themselves until the album is officially released.

Bibby made no further comment after Akademiks posted the screenshot. For now, fans can expect The Party Never Ends later this year
