Durex and That Kid CG Team Up To Create The Phallic Anthem “FYP (For Your Penis)”

Durex has launched a new video showcasing a new phallic anthem, “FYP (For Your Penis),” in conjunction with hip-hop artist “That Kid CG.”

What is “FYP?”

“FYP” is the branded anthem for a campaign that not only promotes safe sex but challenges widely held myths regarding pleasure principles. The new video, which chronicles some wild and ultimately pleasurable sexual exploits, stays true to its message. “Bigger isn’t always better” when phenomenal sex is in question. That it’s more about the ‘fit.’ As per a particularly pointed flow

“Forget about the length; it’s the girth you gotta measure.”

And the best way to experience heightened pleasure is with protection, emphasizing the importance of using condoms.

How The Campaign Began

A TikTok video, “Rhythmic ASMR,” caused quite a stir eliciting a barrage of inquiries. The primary question inquired into the rationale for the appearance of the video on users’ FYP (For You Page). As the conversation picked up steam, Durex inclined their ears. And with a desire to be responsive, Durex went to work immediately, branding a message to reach the masses. The result was a brief video entitled “The Real Meaning of FYP.” 

The video went viral. According to VaynerX, “the short rap resulted in 3.7 million organic views, 18.4 thousand shares, and increased their TikTok followers by over 27 thousand,” proving the message was successful.

That Kid CG, the “Wild and Free” artist, witnessed the virality of the early video and was inspired. As a proponent, he jumped aboard with designs to elevate the message to the next level. According to the artist,

“After seeing the excitement from viewers on TikTok, I was thrilled to use my creative expertise to release a longer version of ‘FYP’ to further tackle the shame and stigma around penis size and sex.”

And thus, “For Your Penis” was the result.”

The Motive Fueling the Vision

Durex’s mission to promote such a campaign is multifold. The campaign’s priority stems from a rise in Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) amongst the Gen Z population. Especially those below the age of 26, as reported by the CDC. But it’s also out to meet the Gen-Z populace where they were at. The organization hoped branding a message through a medium to which Gen-Zers could relate would strengthen the message and start a more meaningful dialogue.

Without a doubt, Durex and “That Kid CG” have developed something uniquely creative with a strong message undergirded by an even stronger appeal. Those who hadn’t heard for sure got the news that size is undoubtedly not all that matters when desiring to experience peak sexual pleasure. And in the words of “That Kid CG,” “Durex is there for your penis…your pleasure, and for your partner.” 

As also noted, “Durex has launched a range of condoms now available in close, regular, and wide fit.”
