Adele says that Drake was the first to hear her new album 30 and review it. The album is to release on November 30th.

Adele shared her short vis-à-vis partnership with Drake during the virtual interview with Capital Breakfast. “I played it [the album] to Drake last year when he was in town,” the maestro of dignified sadness said. “And I was like ‘is this what people want, or not want?’ And he said ‘absolutely,’ but that’s it really.”

“Drake’s obviously incredible and amazing as well as being my mate, but I don’t send [the new album] around to various people,” Adele said after more questions on Drake. “Let me just pick that name off the floor.”

Drake also recently congratulated Adele on her new single. The rapper posted a promo of Adele’s new album on his Insta stories: “One of my best friends in the world just dropped a single @adele WOIIII.”

In the allegedly troubling picture, Adele is wearing a bra with Jamaican flag prints. Her hair is also tied in Bantu knots. The singer immediately received backlash on Twitter. Mainly from the American users.

Below are the examples of Tweets in response to Adele’s picture:

“If 2020 couldn’t get any more bizarre, Adele is giving us Bantu knots and cultural appropriation that nobody asked for. This officially marks all of the top white women in pop as problematic. Hate to see it.”

“If you haven’t quite understood cultural appropriation, look at Adele’s last Instagram post. She should go to jail no parole for this.”

Someone also commented on Instagram: “Bantu knots are NOT to be worn by white people in any context, period.”

Meanwhile, the inspirator of “Holla Back Girl” and the daughter of a Jamaican mother, Naomi Campbell, commented on Adele’s post with two hearts and two Jamaican flags emojis. Another famous Jamaican, musician Popcaan, also commented with a heart and a fist emojis.

Do you think the Jamaican celebrities don’t have an opportunity to speak from their heart on the controversy? Or that people on the internet are blaming the wrong person again? Let us know @FMHipHop social media!
