Lil Baby, Meek Mill, and also Lil Durk have several celebrity friends. However, they tend to spend a lot of time with NBA All-Star James Harden. Due to his frequent meetings with each rapper (including all-night events), the Philadelphia 76er could not get adequate sleep before playing basketball.
Harden Devotes His Time To Not Only Basketball But Also To Music
Recently, James Harden recalled a time when the three rappers contacted him about some new songs they wanted him to hear. Harden’s decision was risky since he had a basketball practice the following morning. Nevertheless, he was determined not to miss the opportunity.
“They all called me like, ‘Yo, we about to pull up to Houston.’ Baby, Durk, Meek,” Harden said. “They all come to the house [from] Atlanta, like two in the morning. I gotta go to practice in the morning! They come in the studio, and I’m up with them the whole time.”
Harden then continues,
“And I go right from the studio at 7:30 a.m. right to practice. I can’t miss this opportunity! They in the studio, I gotta see what these dudes about to talk about.”
Love For Hip Hop Music Explains These All-Night Sessions
James Harden’s love for hip hop is also well-known. He served as executive producer for the album The Voice of the Heroes by Lil Baby and Lil Durk. Baby and Durk recorded many late-night sessions at Harden’s home studio in Houston, where Harden played an integral role from the beginning. He added,
“Leaving all-night studio sessions going straight to practice with the songs they made gave me a newfound motivation,” Harden explained. “The collaboration only seemed right. I just hope the same impact they have on me, they have on the world.”
