Atlanta Season 3 Episode 8 News

Atlanta is coming back! Everyone’s favorite drama is returning on May 5 to FX for Atlanta Season 3 Episode 8. This episode is going to feature characters from season 1. Atleast, they are going to have their loose ends tied before the series ends.

Recap

In the previous episode, which was a standalone episode not connected to the main plot, the main characters are a white family who is going to a funeral for their child’s nanny, Sylvia. She was from Trinidad and was a dedicated childcare professional.  She was a matriarch of the community and wanted to help the children every chance she got. The funeral is full of “Black Funeral” tropes. Everything from a family member wanting to go into the ground with Sylvia to a fight going off. There was even somebody apologizing to the white family for how bad everyone’s behavior is. He tells them, “This is how we sad.”

The parents of the child were both subconsciously racist. The father hesitated when he was introduced to Sylvia’s daughter, Joy, who had a thick Trinidadian accent. He also hesitated to let Joy’s nephew valet his car. The mother could only look in horror at her son who is perfectly mingling with the other funeral attendees. She says that she is going to hire a more “metropolitan” nanny next time during the car ride home.

That night, a mysterious stranger gives the family a portrait of Sylvia and their son. The son says that when he grows up, he will “play steel pan like Uncle Samuel”. His parents have no idea who that is and freak out.

What We Know About Episode 8

This episode is going to feature Al and Darius. They are wandering around Amsterdam. This is somehow connected to a tv show. The episode is called “New Jazz”. There has been a reveal of the official plot synopsis of the episode.

“Al and Darius walk around Amsterdam. Psssh, I could make a way better TV show than this.”

Atlanta Season 3 Episode 8 is going to be available on FX as well as Hulu on May 5.
