The stars of The Fast & The Furious franchise are preparing for the release of the 9th Fast & Furious film later this week. However, the film’s star, Vin Diesel, may be already looking forward to other films and spinoffs of the Fast & Furious saga. In a recent interview, Vin Diesel confirmed that Cardi B, who appears in F9, will star in future Fast & Furious films.
“We are very much excited to evolve her character and to expand it to the finale. She made it just in time. She came in Fast 9 just in time,” Diesel said during an interviewET.
Director Justin Lin also talked about how it felt working with Cardi in F9.
“I love Cardi, you know? I mean, it’s amazing she showed up and within a minute she’s part of the family, right?” Justin gushed. “And I love how when I got together with her, her and Vin were talking about the character because she’s actually really embedded into the overall universe, she’s been around for a long time and this is just the first time we are seeing her, so I’m really excited to explore that character of her…I’ll work with her any day.”
Cardi is making her F9 debut as Leysa.
In a recent interview, Cardi talked about what to expect from her character in F9.
Fast & Furious 10 is scheduled to be released on April 2, 2022.
