It looks like Rap Snacks has some competition. In a press release provided by PR Newswire, Cheez-It’s has announced a limited-edition snack with music streaming service, Pandora. The Cheez-It x Pandora® Aged by Audiocrackers is the first sonically aged cracker that has 100% real cheese. The brand spoke with music and sonic experts from Pandora to make the unique cheese snack.
The Origin of The Hip-Hop Cheez-It Snack
The idea behind the innovative idea came from a 2019 swiss study. The study suggests that the tempo and sonic frequency of certain hip-hop songs can enhance the flavor of the classic crunchy snack made with 100% real cheese. The aging process took six months and aged to some iconic hip-hop artists’ music.
The Cheez-It x Pandora Aged by Audio snack will release on May 26 at 12p EDT at CheezItHQ.com. Fans can also access the Aged by Audio mixtape the same day. The mixtape is curated by the music and sonic experts at Pandora that had an effect on the flavor intensity of the cheese using the unique vibrations of hip-hop music. Along with the exciting new release, Cheez-It is also collaborating with Sway Colloway on a new YouTube Series.
“Living Legendz” is a new series that features interviews with hip-hop icons who’ve changed the industry, providing their thoughts on how hip-hop music has impacted the world – not just our cheese. It will also premiere on the same day, May 26.
