#CherryJuice: Charlamagne Gives Meek Mill 24 Hours For Drake Response

“Your ‘Donkey of the Day’ is in escrow, Meek!”

Charlamagne Tha God isn’t taking any prisoners this week with slapping Hip-Hop luminaries in his “Donkey of the Day” segment. Well, sort of, anyway.

Yesterday, the Power 105 The Breakfast Club antagonist didn’t hesitate handing the syndicated diss to Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex, and unloaded a full seven-minute clip on the legendary New York DJ, after Flex failed to deliver Meek Mill‘s response to Drake as promised.

But this morning, Charlamagne — to use his own pun — “moonwalked backwards” in handing down the same treatment to Meek Mill for not getting the track to Flex in the first place. Instead, he put Meek’s DOTD “in escrow,” and gave the Philly-bred rapper a 24-hour window for his Drake response, or else.

“I ain’t never seen you put a ‘Donkey of the Day’ in escrow, bruh,” co-host DJ Envy told Charlamagne. And Envy is right, it was an unprecedented move in the segment’s history.

So, what’s up, Charlamagne? Why the double standard between Flex and Meek for DOTD when the two are co-defendants in the same offense? Don’t worry, we’ll wait…
