#CherryJuice: Charlamagne Tha God ‘Eulogizes’ Funkmaster Flex! [AUDIO]

‘RIP: Let’s celebrate the career of Pumpfaker Flex’ says Charlamagne.

SHOTS FIRED!! There’s a brand-new battle between rival New York radio station personalities, and halfway through the first round it’s hot! Power 105.1’s Charlamagne tha God of syndicated morning show The Breakfast Club went IN on Hot 97’s veteran DJ personality Funkmaster Flex. And Charlamagne was talking reckless!

The Breakfast Club star, born Leonard McKelvey, took Flex to task over the Hot 97 DJ going in on Drake about not penning his own rhymes after being exposed by Meek Mill. Charlamagne expressed his opinion against Flex that it doesn’t matter anymore if rappers don’t write their own lyrics because times have changed.

“Truth is, nobody cares who’s preparing the food. They care about who’s serving it, and does it taste good,” Charlamagne ranted. “It’s a new era out here. We as Hip-Hop heads will look at him a little funny, but it’s not gonna stop people from singing his records in the club, regardless of who wrote the words.”

But it was about Flex announcing he had the reference record of Drake’s ghostwriter Quentin Miller for the “R.I.C.O.” track, and never producing it, where Charlamagne really went in. He basically said that Power 105’s residents DJ Clue and DJ Self are killing Flex so badly in ratings that Flex is “reaching” with tactics like these to stay relevant.

Listen to the entire “Donkey of the Day” for yourself. One thing is certain, Flex is going to clap back on his Hot 97 show at 7 p.m. tonight. FMHipHop will DEFINITELY be tuned in! Will you?

Stay tuned!
