TidalX Relief Concert Brings in 3.7 Mill for Hurricane Recovery

The Tidal X third annual charity event was able to raise 3.7 Million to assist victims that were affected by the recent natural disasters. From Texas to Puerto Rico the damage has taken a toll on millions of people and will require much effort, blood, sweat, and tears to bounce back.  With the recent lack of support from our own US Government, we’ve  begun to see a host of celebrities come together to make sure Hip Hop has us covered. Rather than just complain about what can be done Tidal X got it done, and this is just the beginning.

Tidal X which was held at Brooklyn’s Barclay Center, was over  6 hours of performances one could only imagine the energy in that room last Tuesday night! With performances from Jay-Z, Rapsody, Stevie Wonder, JLo, Fifth Harmony,Chris Brown, Fat Joe, Remy Ma, Yo Gotti, A$AP Ferg, Vic Mensa,  Joey Bada$$, Belly, Jadakiss, Iggy Azalea, Christian Nodal, Donnie McClurkin, Mack Wilds, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Justine Skye, Princess Nokia, Tee Grizzley, Rapsody and more.

The event was hosted by the legendary Angie Martinez who has been at the forefront in fighting to raise funds for disaster relief. Those affected by Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma, Hurricane Maria and the earthquakes that took place in Mexico will all receive aid from the proceeds of this concert.  So far, 4 planes filled with water, diapers, first aid, and food have already been distributed.

Proceeds will be broken down and given to some elite organizations including Empire State Relief and Recovery Effort for Puerto Rico, Global Giving, All Hands Volunteers, Kids in Need Foundation, Direct Relief, One America Appeal, Greater Houston Community Foundation, Miami Community Foundation, Habitat for Humanity in Puerto Rico, and more.
