In a recent statement, Howard King, Dr. Dre’s attorney, confirmed that the artist still owns the studio album “The Chronic.” In a statement from Complex, the attorney assures that Beats By Dre mogul is still in control of the record.

“There are false reports out regarding ownership by Death Row of Dr. Dre,” Kind said. “Dr. Dre owns 100 percent of “The Chronic.””

The same statement completely denies Snoop Dogg’s comments claiming he owned the debut album.

Snoop said he had reached an agreement to take over Death Row in February, days before his Super Bowl halftime show.

Figuring Out “The Chronic” Owner

Snoop Dog also had an interview with Chief Content Editor Elliott Wilson for Tidal Magazine on Friday. He said he owns the albums “Murder Was The Case,” “Dogg Food,” and, of course, “The Chronic.”

“Same with Dr. Dre and “The Chronic.” I got “The Chronic” album.” Snoop continued, “I got “Doggystyle,” “Tha Doggfather,” “Murder Was the Case,” “Dogg Food,” “Above the Rim.” I got all those records.”

According to the same interview, The rapper was also confident that he would reach an agreement with Pac.

“I got a great relationship with his estate, and I’m pretty sure we’re going to be able to work something out,” he claimed. “Continue some Death Row 2Pac business now that Snoop Dogg is in control of Death Row.”

As evidence, Snoop also posted a recent photo on Instagram showing Death Row Masters archives a couple hours ago.
