Getting a stamp of approval from Grammy award winner Drake is nothing to take lightly. As a prominent figure in the hip-hop community, it’s safe to say he knows a hit when he sees it. The Toronto rapper took to Instagram to shout out his peer French Montana who recently dropped “Mopstick” featuring Kodak Black from his latest album “They Got Amnesia.”

The project was released six months earlier in 2021 debuting at No. 59 on Billboard, moving 14,000 copies. Still, Montana is dropping more heat.
After posting the video’s preview, Drake comments “Nah wtf this is ITTTTTT”. In addition, the teaser opened the floodgates for overwhelming support by the likes of Russ, Bandman Kevo and millions of others.
“Mopstick” is the first collaboration between French and Kodak since the 2016 single “Lockjaw” which currently sits at over 150 million views on YouTube. In addition, the Coke Boys founder collaborated with numerous artists on the 2021 “They Got Amnesia” album. The 22-track album features Doja Cat, Rick Ross, Pop Smoke, Saweetie, Moneybagg Yo, and many others.
Proceeding “Mopstick” was the visual for his new track titled “Big Comfy” which was made for Canada Dry Ginger Ale and dropped on April 7. The song plays on the idea of spending an evening at home beside a glass of Canada Dry instead of partying.
“I’m drinkin’ my Canada Dry, I’m cozy with shorty I ain’t comin’ outside,” Montana spits. “She said, ‘What’s the craziest thing you’ve done in your life?’ I told her, ‘Watch a whole series in one night.’”
