Following the success of his recent single “Laugh Now Cry Later”, Drake has officially announced that his next studio album, Certified Lover Boy, will be released in January of 2021. The long-anticipated LP will be Drake’s sixth studio album and his first since 2018’s Scorpion. His label, OVO Sound, released a one-minute teaser for the album on Twitter featuring ambient keyboards and introspective visuals.
Drake has had a productive year, having released the Dark Lane Demo Tapes mixtape in May, which included the chart-topping single “Toosie Slide”. Drake has also collaborated with a number of artists in 2020, notably with DJ Khaled on the hit singles “POPSTAR” and “GREECE” and on 21 Savage’s “Mr. Right Now”.
